k1 visa approved and money order cashed

So my application received on 8/9 was approved on 8/11 and money order was cashed on 8/13 then I got the NOA1 in the mail 8/16. Since they cashed the money order does this mean they working on the application, Will they ask for proof at this point? For those filing this year has the process been so speedy? Should I not get ahead of myself? Also traveling next month to visit my fiance. What is the next step? How much money should I be ready to send in for the blood work, fingerprint and consulate appointment?

your application was accepted not approved. and all that ment was it was complete enough to move forward with though you still may get asked for more or updated information. please refer to processing times on how long it will take before an interview is needed.

Correct. They send you the NOA2 notice somewhere around 4-6 months when (hopefully) your application will be approved and at that time you can schedule the medical, get the financial papers in order, etc.

There are a lot of guides on here with timelines if you need help:

It just means that they got your packet and accepted it but they still have to go through it and review the contents of your packet and then decide if they are going to move your case to the next stage.

Did you not include proof of relationship in your packet, such as photos and letters, conversations etc.?

This year, it actually became sloooooooowwweeeer due to the sudden increase in the number of applicants since December 2016. The backlog affected the applications that followed and waiting for the response from USCIS alone whether your case can be moved to the next level already takes 4 to 5 months (NOA2).

The next step is to WAIT. Like I said, it will take 4 to 5 months just to hear from them about the next step.

Medical exam in Dominican Republic is between $170-$190, visa fee is the same for all which is $265.

I sent in a letter from my fiance and one from me, passport photo copy of entry to Dominican Republic. I did not include photos of us the person that helped me didn't ask me to do so. I'm guessing they will ask me for conversation proof, etc. Ugh I had all these things with me and did not send it in..

Thanks for the reply.

This is a list of requirements that me and my husband followed when we filed last year. You can use this list to check and see if you lack something important in the packet.

Best of luck and hope this helps!

They won't ask for relationship evidence for the I-129F...they don't evaluate the legitimacy of the relationship at this point. That's done at the embassy by the CO. Providing those evidences with the initial I-129F just means the CO may see it before the interview...some embassies are suspected of making a decision/presumption before the interview. DR is not one of them AFAIK. Don't worry about it...just be sure your fiance provides plenty of evidence for the actual interview later. I didn't provide any relationship evidence with my petition either and it was fine (USEM is pretty good here).

Edit: To clarify, you did still need to send evidence that you met at least once within the past 2 years. Photos are secondary evidence here (I only provided one myself).

Thanks for the reply.

A good part of the form would be the proof of relationship.  Since you have already filed, make sure you have everything ready for the RFE that you will most likely get.  The RFE will add additional time to the filing.  Right now the NOA2 is between 5 and 6 months from the NOA1.  From there it goes to NVC.  From NVC to embassy.  Then the interview.  Medical can take place once the Embassy receives the packet.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

I am planning on going back for the interview. I have an overload of proof, pics with him and his family and daughter. I didn't even think of including everything I had, I was freaking out because of my birth certificate. Hopefully they don't need more proof.

Thanks for the reply.
