Hey all,

Our AOS interview is coming up next week and I have a question about supporting documents/the I-864:

We filed our AOS paperwork in Dec and since moved, which is to say that all our jobs have changed since filing the original I-864.

Do we need to completely redo the I-864 and bring it with us, or just supply some documents confirming what our current jobs and rate of pay are?

I have an employment letter from my job in our new city (beneficiary) and we are planning on moving back to our old place of residence in the fall - so we have job offer letters for work beginning Oct 1st as well.

My husband (the sponsor) has been doing labor in exchange for our rent which doesn't leave much of a papertrail, so we're working on getting a letter form our landlord/employer explaining that my husband is in a temporary work/trade situation and therefore not currently making report-able income.

Thanks!

You don't have to. The interview appointment letter states that you don't have to bring and submit the documents that you have already included in your packet.

I-864 is one of them.

It is your choice if you wanna bring a completed and signed copy of the updated version of the form I-864. But you honestly don't have to if you alreadh submitted it before.

Best of luck!

I didn't really get a direct answer perse, but I have heard of other people who went to the interviews with either just new job letters - or none at all - and they were still okay. As long as you can prove something I think it's better than nothing; pay stubs, letter, etc.

You're right that we already submitted an I-864, but the letter also says to include current letters of employment, etc

So, I'm not going to go to the effort of making a new I-864, but I am going to bring my new employment letters, paystubs, and bank info just in case they do want proof that we're working and not sitting around doing nothing ;)
