I-134 Using Child Support to Make the Difference 2017

Hey All,

 

My Fiancee and I are right at the very beginning of our Journey and not even filled the I-129 yet. But we are diligent people and are busy exploring every angle to make sure there are no surprises along the way. We are currently looking at the filing of the I-134 later down the line and wanted to get an update on using Child Support Payments as a way of meeting the minimum income requirement. Employment would not be enough, Assets if it is a ratio of 5:1 would help, adding continued Child Support would secure it.

 

So far I have trawled through many websites, guides and a lot of topics on here, which has left me feeling confident of the ability to use Child Support in the figures to show affordability of support.

 

However, these are all fairly old or at best 2016. I was wondering if I could get a fresh update from anyone that has submitted this year and what their experiences were? What helped? Was any resistance met? What was the response? Etc. I am in the UK and so will be interviewing there if anyone has any experience at the UK Embassy.

 

Any and all help is appreciated, and, once we arrive there, will load our story and advice to this site for others following in our footsteps.
