H4 Estimated Processing Time for H1B Cap-exempt and Premium Processing case

Hello all,

 

My spouse is currently working as F1-OPT but eligible for H1B Cap-exempt and premium processing.

Therefore H1B should be approved pretty quickly for this case. 

I am wondering about H4 estimated processing time.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge. If the process time is similar as B visa, I believe that the H4 process time would not be too long.

Dear Boiler. Would you take a follow-up question?

 

In case of changing the status in the States, the process would take several months. So sometimes, it is much easier/faster to go back to a home country and get a visa stamp there. Do you know whether there is a difference between changing in States/out of States for H4 case? Thank you so much.

I have no idea, lots of variables, you can not get a visa doing a CoS so you are landlocked.

 

Obviously you can not change status if you have none.

Oh? H4 cannot be issued through a Cos? I do need to go back to a home country to get it then?

You can get status, not a Visa in the US, Visa is to enter a country.
