Hello, everyone!

I am working on my dad's green card papers and I am using the 2/27/17 edition  of I-130. He currently lives with us in the US.

The question I have refers to the biometrics fee. On page 3 of the instructions for I-130, it says, "If you file this petition with USCIS", which we are, "you do not need to include a biometric service fee at the time you submit your petition. If you are later notified that you must submit biometrics, you will receive a biometric services appointment notice with instructions on how to submit the additional biometric services fee."

On the other hand, when I went to the USCIS website and asked their assistant, Emma, the same question, she said, "The cost of a biometrics appointment is an additional fee per person that needs to be submitted with the filing fee for any form requiring a biometrics appointment."

Help, please! I don't know what to do. Thank you!
