Alhamdullilah I got approved for my interview today! Thanks to God🙏🏼

Here is my experience... I recommend you go early to the embassy.. if your interview is at 8.. be there 6:30.. I was there 6:45 & there were 13 immigrants  at front of me.

You will stand in line & be asked for passport & interview letter.  Then you will go through security check and then wait abit in a waiting room.

You will then will be told to go to another building where the interview will be held.

when it was my turn for interview, I was asked for my passport, medical form, civil documents (marrige & birth certificates) 2 passport pictures. I wasnt asked for any financial papers tax returns or affidavit of support.  I was asked where do I live, how I met my husband, when was the last time we saw each other, how many times did we meet before marriage, what does my husband do and where does he live, and what do I plan on doing when I am in the US. He then took my finger prints and then handed me a slip and told me to expect an email from empost to collect my passport my Visa has been approved!

Now I have noticed that some of the ppl at front of me where asked for civil documents nd medical and then were told to wait for finger printing and then they would have their interview. In my case I had all of that at once.

My advice is just to be calm & confident and there is nothing to be worried about as long as you have anything in hand.

Good luck to all of you having their interview soon. 🙏🏼

You have to give documents one by one as they ask. I am afraid if a thick folder can be given, as their window has an opening at the bottom, but thats not very thick. Also they might not ask all the documents mentioned in the checklist, depends on the case.

ok, ill ask my husband to just hand things one by one. thank you!

alhamdulillah got my approval today! my experience was similar to the ones shared already so i won't go into much detail but some notes:

-people seemed to jump the queue on the benches. i was there at 6:15 and 4 people were ahead of me, and someone who came at 6:45 managed to squeeze in ahead of the 3rd lady who was right before me. it's not a big deal if it's one person, but the order that you sit is the order that you enter, so i find it a little rude that people who are coming later are trying to get ahead.

-immigrant applicants were interviewed in a room and also at a booth. i was the second one assigned the booth and i heard the whole conversation of the person before me and i'm sure everyone heard mine too.

-the person ahead of me was an ethiopian applicant and unfortunately she got AP. i felt terrible for her and before i could ask why, it was my turn and we couldn't chat.

-my police clearance email copy was accepted. i recently renewed my UAE visa and applied for a new police clearance, and i didn't receive the original through mail in time, so i went with the print out hoping for the best and they accepted it!

very few and basic questions: what do you do, what does your husband do, how did you meet, where does your husband live, where did you get married.

the applicant before me was asked a lot more questions like how often they meet and she had a joint sponsor, so the CO asked her a few questions about that person too.

thanks and good luck! get there early (6- 6 15 AM if your appointment is at 8) and double check all your documents. the CO seemed to spend some time on both mine and the previous applicant's affidavit of support, so make sure you have all the necessary financial proofs and tax returns.
