congratulations ysrmf!!! please share your interview experience.

by the way, i requested to expedite based on my uae residence visa expiring soon (currently on father's sponsorship which can no longer be extended as i'm married), and it got rejected :(  still waiting for an interview date...................

The interview itself took around 10 minutes .. it was around an hour and a half wait for them to check my documents which was all in order and then give my fingerprints.

When it was my turn for the interview, the CO greeted me and asked how I was doing and I replied truthfully that I was nervous. He laughed and told me not to be worried. He asked me my husband s name and where I lived in the UAE. Then he asked me how I met my husband and he laughed at some of the stuff I said which made me really comfortable. He asked me if I've met my husband since our wedding reception last August and I told him how my husband and I traveled to India on holiday in May. Then he asked how I kept in touch with my husband and where he worked. He then asked me to wait a minute and came back with a paper and said that explains my rights in case of spousal abuse etc and then I asked him if this means I got an approval and if he wants to see our pictures and stuff. He smiled and said no and that my visa is approved and gave me a white slip.

My case status changed to AP for an hour and then to approved and I was able to pick up my passport the next morning.

The wait was frustrating but this was honestly the easiest part of the process.

I hope so...i mean come on, its also about time they start to schedule. Funny you said there were less people, i thought they are busy all the time. Like if there were less why didn't they schedule more?? Unless they need to ensure there is a consistent 5 month wait

You know i hate to be a grouch or a complainer but this wait has been beyond frustrating. Its just so unfair to make people wait like this. USCIS took 4 months, NVC about 10 weeks, and NOW we are stuck at the stage that should ve been the easiest.
