Try calling the NVC and ask them about the status of your case

My status in CEAC is “Ready” since Feb 15. My husband will try to call them again tomorrow...

Hoping to hear some good news...

thank you for the comment.

When your status becomes ready how many weeks you’ve been waiting until you got your interview appointment?

Thanks for the quote it helps a lot.

Yes we called the NVC yesterday but they said our applications has been forwarded to consular and the consular will be the one to give us an appointment date for an interview. That’s what they said.

Our CC is August. 08, 2017 for our IR1 and the status on the CEAC website states "Ready".  Our file was sent out from the NVC on the February. 14, 2018 to the Embassy in AUH.  We've received an email stating that it was sent out to the embassy and to wait a couple of weeks for the scheduling of the interview as it got approved for expedite due to medical reasons.  We've called the NVC again yesterday and they said we need to contact the embassy.  Trying to contact the Embassy here is useless.  Does anyone know a timeline of when the embassy would start scheduling?

strange you didn't get an interview date yet as september, november and december CCs have received theirs. AD embassy schedules in the first two weeks of the month, so you may still hear from them. they have been haphazard with handing out interview dates, so it's anybody's guess.

Hey guys,

i have a quick question. My husband had applied for a student visa twice about 8-10 years ago and he was rejected both times. Will they have this on record? Will they ask him about the previous student visa rejections in his immigrant visa interview?

Would appreciate if anyone could answer this for me :)

no idea if he will be asked but there is a question in the DS-260 about whether you have been refused a US visa in the past.

Won't effect.... immigrant visa has nothing to do with rejection of tourist or student visa as far this rejection has nothing to do with security.
