Hello.  Our CC date is Aug. 08, 2017.  We've recently sent a request to expedite due to health reasons and it got accepted.  Now we're just waiting for the embassy to email us an interview date and instructions.  I see some beneficiaries are bringing pictures and all the forms they've initially submitted to the USCIS & NVC.  Is that necessary for a IR1 visa?  We've already submitted all of those, is it a must? or just recommended to have a stronger case?  Any advice would be great.

https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/iv-dv-supplemental/ABD_Abu-Dhabi.pdfGo thru this pdf. It also has the interview checklist.

You must get all documents mentioned in the checklist , also photos as evidence of relationship.

Hello.  Been following this post for few months now.  I’m a US citizen and US Navy Veteran in an IR1 status and with a CC date of Oct 15 2017. Till now we haven’t received any email or interview schedule. While my wife is from the Philippines and works in Abu Dhabi, we haven’t seen each other and she hasn’t seen our 1 year old daughter for 8 months.

Can anyone with an October cc confirm a scheduled interview if applicable?  Because we don’t know how much longer this will take and it’s killing us being apart. I also want to add there should be a priority system in-place especially for citizens and/ veterans.

Thank you

Hi there, I am not sure if there is a priority system in place for citizens and veterans.  My husband is a US Citizen and a veteran too, but our processing is no way different from others. We have a 2 year old daughter who is also an american citizen but she's here with me in Dubai and neither that reason made our process expedited. My cc was last May 2017 and my visa appointment is set this March. I understand how frustrating it is on both of your part especially that your daughter is away from your wife. It was almost the same thing with me, I became too emotional especially that at times, my daughter has to stay in the Philippines away from me for few months. If you can ask a congressman or senator at your district, maybe that will help but there is no assurance as we did the same. Hope you will receive good news sooner than later. I have waited almost 2 years from the day we started the processing to get the appointment date. Sorry to break this with you but just to let you know so you will not get disappointed/frustrated on waiting for the appointment date.
