Hello everyone,

any idea if the following folder is okay to carry to the embassy?

there's quite a lot to carry and a simple clear file won't be sufficient for all the documents + relationship proof

Good question Im not sure about the file you sent in the pic but all I know is that only an unsealed transparent plastic bag containing all the forms nd documents will be permitted.

The one you sent looks more like a bag..   I think the one I attached is better..carry 2 of those nd it’d be good to go I guess

i'll need 5 of these :D you're right - i better follow the instructions instead of having to fumble at the embassy with all my documents in case they don't allow me to go in with the folder (it's so convenient though!).

Hello.  Been following this post for few months now.  I’m a US citizen and US Navy Veteran in an IR1 status and with a CC date of Oct 15 2017. Till now we haven’t received any email or interview schedule. While my wife is from the Philippines and works in Abu Dhabi, we haven’t seen each other and she hasn’t seen our 1 year old daughter for 8 months.

Can anyone with an October cc confirm a scheduled interview if applicable?  Because we don’t know how much longer this will take and it’s killing us being apart. I also want to add there should be a priority system in-place especially for citizens and/ veterans.

Thank you

@Ansara David is another October 2017 CC who is also waiting for an interview date. as far as i know, most of us who got march 2018 interview dates are may, june and july 2017 CCs, so the wait time is between 8 to 9 months. going by that, i'd expect an interview in may/june UNLESS they've changed staffing levels at the embassy to accommodate more IV interviews. it's hard to say really. my husband is a US citizen but we still had a 9 month wait. the time apart is obviously harder with kids involved.

Yayy Congratulations to everyone who got their Interview dates!!

I carried all my documents in the bag they gave me when I picked up my medical files and stick to clear files. Don't want to stress on the day.

it could be because their case was expedited for some reason? @Zohreh66 can you tell us if you requested to be expedited? i'm sure they are following sequence otherwise.

Hi frn.  I see your time line your pd was 2016.01. So your case is in the process more than 2 years.  Your husband is citizen?

For citizens the time between pd and embassy are around 1.5 year and for green cards  are  more...

Please email to nvc. they answer to you as soon as possible.  Have you ever called or emailed them?
