The date of medical tests is the start of visa validity. If we do it a month earlier, we have 5 months to enter usa, as we need to enter usa before medical results expires. I read the above info in this website only. I will confirm the same with my lawyer.

yes that's correct - i don't think any of us would wait 6 months to move though. everyone would want to go asap :D

I called nmc and Mideast. Both of them told me they could prepare the result after one day.  And if you pay more, you could have the result around half of day. Take it easy, you can do your medical during the week which you have an interview.

thanks thats very helpful!!

I was thinking that maybe coz medical’s date corresponds to start of visa validity thats why people will get it done in last week. Iam also confused when to get it done.

-also after registering for your interview, you need to print the page and bring it along with other documents.

-also print and keep the checklist, so that you are sure you brought everything required.

You should also take copies of all the forms from the whole process. Beginning with your i-130, your DS 260, and the I864 as an extra precaution! Its better to take extra measure rather than missing something.

Also, is your spouse living in the US? If not, you will need strong evidence to prove your domicile. Any evidence to support the fact that you have a a clear intention to move to the US right away. (job letter, housing arrangements etc) And if your spouse is not in the US, then I suggest you to gather photocopies of your spouse's valid US drivers licence, pay slips (if working) rent/housing bills etc.

Even though I have only begun my wait for the interview, I began preparing a file with all of the things my husband will need and I am trying to go the extra mile. I have also included my own original birth certificates, I will send my current passport, my valid US drivers licence, letters from my parents that we will be staying with them until we find a place to live, letter from my Boss stating that she will hire me upon returning to the uS etc.

Hello.  Been following this post for few months now.  I’m a US citizen and US Navy Veteran in an IR1 status and with a CC date of Oct 15 2017. Till now we haven’t received any email or interview schedule. While my wife is from the Philippines and works in Abu Dhabi, we haven’t seen each other and she hasn’t seen our 1 year old daughter for 8 months.

Can anyone with an October cc confirm a scheduled interview if applicable?  Because we don’t know how much longer this will take and it’s killing us being apart. I also want to add there should be a priority system in-place especially for citizens and/ veterans.

Thank you

they're unrelated, but when you move your sponsor will need to cancel the uae visa.
