instead of resigning, why doesn't he go on a holiday to india around the time of his interview? there could be different scenarios like administrative processing god forbid if they find something in his application or interview answers that they want to investigate and this can take several more months.

He has to give two months of notice from work... Before resigning... So if we do it after he gets the visa he will have to work for two more months after that! It does make more sense to just go for the interview

Ok...thanks for your responses. I woke up this morning and saw my status still says at nvc..started to panic and think maybe all you all had a "Ready" status and I had messed up somewhere. Thanks for the reassurance.

good point. the police certificate issued in abu dhabi is valid for 3 months.

Yeah..this is a bummer....don't we have to send a pcc with the IV package and then also bring one to the interview? so do we just get another one for the interview if it expired?

this is very sad that after spending almost 9months in nabraska and more than   3months in nvc with case yet to be completed next month,I am still very sad to read that people be waiting almost 9months waiting for interview, I 've gone for the interview before in 2016 but I 've to 're file again due to my marriage certificate that was not accepted by the embassy and at that time I did not wait for all this long,I am just confuse and don't know if I should transfer my case to Nigeria. it will be hard for me to make it to Nigeria for interview because my company won't give me more than 2 weeks for interview while Nigeria visa medical take 2weeks to be ready...just confuse and tired of waiting while wife feel lonely due to visa delay.God please help us

Yea it is super sad and frustrating. I'm sorry about your case but hopefully by the time you receive CC things would be moving faster than now. May be if you try to expedite and explain your situation they might consider nd give you an appointment earlier nd faster. Anyway hope for the best always 🙏🏼

No wonder we’re waiting this long.  Only 6 were issued for CR1 category on December !!!

DECEMBER%202017%20-%20IV%20Issuances%20b

they have consistently high diversity visa numbers and very low CR1 numbers. who in the world thought it was a good idea to prioritize applications of people who get green cards through a LOTTERY when they may or may not have family in the US (definitely no close relatives as they would've applied through them then) while SPOUSES have to wait for ages for an interview! it makes me so upset.
