The same scenario with us.... The embassy said that they don't have our case yet and it is still with NVC. And NVC said that they are waiting for AUH embassy for a slot. Such a roller coaster ride. And I am on my 8th month waiting game, and 9th month is coming hahahahahah...(insert sarcasm on my laugh)

Back and forth scenario! The prob is that there is really nothing that we can do about it unfortunately. Let us hope we hear something next month! 🙏🏼

True, we'll just keep hoping and praying that it will happen soon. God is faithful. For sure he wants us to be reunited with our loved ones.

wow if speaking to a congressman didn't help then there really is nothing to do besides waiting!

i now have the added drama of renewing my UAE visa under my father's sponsorship whilst married, and my husband is having to get a no objection letter notarized and attested by a gazillion offices in US so UAE would consider my case exceptionally. fun times.

anyway, i'm  keeping an eye on the US embassy in Abu Dhabi stats and their processed CR1 cases have consistently been low while the DV cases are high. i don't get the logic behind that as they really should be prioritizing immediate family member visas but oh well.

You could renew ur visa under ur Dad’s sponsorship without getting any objection letter notarized or anything so dont worry about that!

Lets just hope it doesn’t take a whole year since CC for interview :s I don’t know why they’re nt prioritizing CR1 cases.  This is just messed up from all aspects!

Im just being optimistic and hopeful every month so lets see if Feb will be the magical month for us.

They probably wont ask your dad if you are married so he could just renew your residence visa with no probz.

Yea of course you shouldnt renew it under ur dad if you are married but if your dad tried to go renew it and they didnt ask if you are married then it couldve been renewed without anyone knowing anything lol

brace yourselves. now there is a US government shutdown to potentially delay our cases further.

Based on normal shutdown procedures and how related agencies have handled similar situations in the past, here is how we expect a shutdown would impact immigration matters.

Adjudications at US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the agency at the US Department of Homeland Security that reviews nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions and applications for immigration benefits, is fee-funded, and should continue on a normal schedule. Visa processing at US Department of State consular posts would likely not be affected for the same reason, at least initially, though an extended shutdown could lead to a suspension of services other than emergency support for US citizens. If posts are forced to scale back, past experience suggests that visa applications may be affected first. During the 1995 and 1996 shutdowns, which together lasted 27 days, an estimated 20,000–30,000 visa applications went unprocessed every day.
