Yea may be if more of us go they'd actually do something about it :s I doubt it but you never know :/

oh wow, walking into the embassy is actually an option? For some reason I thought it must be some highly secured area and they would only allow you in with valid interview/appointment letters. But yeah I am totally down to go too. Maybe we can all go on the same day! lol

But I still feel a simple email to the authorities here just inquiring about abu dhabi delays MAY be helpful. But again, I think multiple email would be needed for them to give it some consideration.

Hey, I see why it’s so sensitive as we don’t want to risk any chance of being with our loved ones. But I think more than for myself, I feel it’s not right to Keep anyone (particularity the ones who have no other option but Abu Dhabi) apart from their families for so long due to what seems to be an unbearable work load.  I didn’t mean to retaliate, but maybe just to inform someone that the particular embassy is overloaded and some action needs to be taken about it.

But yeah I wanted to throw it out there to hear what everyone’s thoughts are because there might always be something i’m not seeing.

Oh i get it totally. I think im just overly careful plus in the past my attorney did recommend not to be very pushy. The thing is, look what's happening in the world right now, everything that has been passed on, messed us all up. Coz in the past the wait was 6 months. Although if i remember correctly one of the former VJs members called Auds did say that AD embassy is between 6-8 months, i was in denial back in May but now its making sense.

yikes - i didn't know a complaint was such a serious matter. by the way, i didn't know walk ins were possible at the US embassy (for US citizens). my friend did tell me that afternoons are only for US citizen visits but she had to take her passport collection letter with her.

Oh yea only in the afternoon visits are allowed for US citizens.. I personally wouldn't go through emails and get myself into more headache nd complications. I'd rather just be more patient and wait

Btw my lawyer did send NVC an email more than a month ago and he was very firm and scolding with his email.. but the response was the very same reply we get everytime we call them.. they dont know when will the interview appointment be scheduled and that it depends on the embassy etc.. The lawyer cant do anything at this point and if there was anything to do he wouldve done it and if there was some other solution im sure he wouldve told us about. So our only hope now is to hear from them soon nd hopefully before Feb😄

You know at this point 7 or 8 months is fine by me I mean we have waited 6 months already I'd wait for another month or two as long as they'll give me a freaking appointment in that period of time! Lol some ppl have been waiting much longer than us and thinking I might end up waiting more than a month or two is super scary & frustrating so nshalla our long wait will end in 2 months & hopefully less 🙏🏼

I agree with you 100%. That's the way to look at it and yes lawyers cant do anything, because its not in their hands either. We'll just have to wait longer. I mean what other options do we have.

You know it could just be me, overcausious. But once you come here and live here, you'll understand where you can freely complain, and where it can hurt you.

If it is a discrimination, harassment, unfair treatment...etc - its one thing. But as of right now, its no more than an inconvenience to us. Yes they are slow and we are raging, but yes they have their system and they will stick to it.

I can only speak on my behalf but imagine writing a complaint to a Homeland security about us waiting, for the Embassy., or reaching out to the Senator. Just my opinion though and im not imposing it on anyone

Hello all,

Just called NVC and they said the same thing...:)). But she did suggest to call the embassy and also said that NVC is open every day besides Xmas day, therefore will still process everything.
