I'm glad to hear that you were approved so quickly, but @Jhonny needs to realize that this is not the norm by any means. Currently, the Nebraska Service Center (NSC) is taking on average 249 days to approve an I-130 application. This estimate is based on user-feedback provided by VisaJourney members. The Nebraska center is also currently the SLOWEST service center; Texas is taking 188 days.

In summary, you will likely have to wait anywhere between 4-8 months before hearing back. It is possible you may hear back/get an approval sooner, but this is unlikely. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do, but wait. I wish you the best of luck!

You are right I have been waiting for our NOA-2 almost for a whole year. Nebraska center updated the date they are working on since November the 8 ( the date is January 14, 2016) you can check the web site and still today when almost 2 months had passed  from the last updated it is still showing the same date (January 14, 2016).  It is frustrating what we have to go through for getting this process reviewed. My husband' Priority Date is January 23, 2016 and we are still waiting for them to give us an answer. The drawback is that we cannot do/ inquire anything yet we have to wait until an update is done and the new date posted on their timeline passes my husband Priority Date. Therefore we are hands tight .:unsure::wacko:

I even noticed Nebraska has not updated at all this month because it still says Jan 14, 2017 as cases up to they are processing but it has said that for a month and a half. It was never updated before the 15th of Dec or after so Ive never seen that happen before.

I was shy 6 days of 1 yr before I was approved and from what I hear the norm is 12-18 months for approval but remember a lot has to do with how fast the officer is working on your case and if all documents are in your petition and I guess even the country Your petitioning ur Spouse from.

Yes its frustrating and painful and u swear your time will never arrive, but it will.

I was a total basket case and I think I even made a new ocean in our USA country because I cried way too much.

Keep faith and never stop believing...

They just updated the date to February 14, 2017 that past my husband date ( January 23, 2017) however his case has not been reviewed. I will call to tomorrow to ask for an inquiry. Do you believe this??? I am almost crying and the date was updated last time on November 8th. Thank you for your words

Thank you. So you think that maybe they are still working with cases before February 14? I do not know the way they work or pick the cases or if the date is update right after them finishing the cases until that exactly date updated/posted by them. Do you understand what I mean???

Hi Sundee our I-130 was already approved thanks good. A tier 2 agent called me today. He said it was approved on 21st and is on the mail. I am so happy 😀

Saturday I will go to Cuba to stay with my husband and our family the New Years Eve

Thank you so much for your support

When I come back I will start to gather what I need for NVC

Do you think it is enough if I send my w2 for the last 3 years and my last 5 pay stubs and a letter from my company that I have been with them for almost 3 years or I also need the IRS transcripts

Enjoy the holiday 😀😀🍻🍻🥂🥂

Congraluations on your approval 🎈🎈🎊🎊🎉🎉

Yes go enjoy yourself with your husband and then when u come back I think the tax transcripts are the better option. My lawyer told me to get the past 3 yrs and then get letter from employer informing How long I have worked for them and what my occupation/title is plus I’m having my employer state that my husband will be added on to my health insurance when he arrives and that he is my benificiary on my life insurance policy.

I will also send copies of my pay stubs and that should do it for that part.

I have most of all I need for sending to NVC as most is just making copies now and then I’m ready.
