Case placed in Nebraska Center is ok or it's bad?

Yes, we did. We called, called, demanded to speak to an TIER2 officer, emailed, tried to make an Infopass appointment, had our representative to do an official inquiry at USCIS... there is nothing you can we can do anymore but wait.

yeah i know, but i was hoping that NSC would process stuff faster - i guess i should lower my hopes and expectations, but kinda hard since i had made plans expecting within 1 year of filing, the visa will be in hand.

For real, follow the Nov 2016 I-130 filer, you both @sundee and @EvdH should be about to receive news form USCIS!!!! It's been too long time...

And starting to be scared about NSC , I know there is a wait, but 10 months is almosta  year, the entire average process!!!

I'm not 100% sure on this but I think the current average process is closer to 14 months.

Took us 204 days for NOA2 at Nebraska. It's a slow service center for sure! Try and have patience, which is difficult! Good luck on your journey!

I know what this is, make plans etc... We were really bad informed about almost 80% percent of the process and expecting an ending Visa Journey date late February, and this date is not even near of my NOA2 date, that is expected to be in May (according to timeline update that I did Yesterday night) , one of the most hard things to say was to my step son that was expecting to celebrate he's birthday in April and tell him now, with all the retrieved information that maybe late September / October 2018 be there with him, trust me, is hard to say it, putting on a side our own feelings (wifey and I) that we got cold when we search really the information and experiences shared here!

Yes I've even called and all I was told is case was received.. Yes it's way too long and very frustrating

I'm at 271 days already and patience is almost gone. My husbands smile is what keeps me going

Well the good thing is that this "prepare" us mentally to a long trip and doesn't give us expectations, and if (for a miracle or something) process sets up in speed, well would be a surprise!!!

Yea, from NOA1 to visa in hand. I don't have any actual data and I went through DCF myself so I may be wrong, but I've seen others mentioned that 12-14 months is average with 14 being more accurate.

I was told 12-15 months but what's more frustrating is seeing those who filed in 2017 already approved

Well, I'm mentally being prepared to be at POE in January 2019, if it's faster, well, ok but that's the day that I'm going to set in my head, for having a time lapse really long and what is most important, not create myself and my wife and step son false expectations...

Will be 2019 new year and new life!!!! There is nothing more that we can do guys, increase visits from my wife to me, Facetalk, Whatsapp video call and text, and the most important thing, as the distance keep us separated, be really more in love and close to our spouses, and DON'T GIVE UP GUYS!!!!!!!!

Well, let's try not set focus in anothers early approval , good luck to them, let's put the most positive energy to our own case and keep going, keep in the travel, we have no other choice!
