hello.. i would like to ask, which visa type did you select in doing the appoinment interview online? k1 visa is not available on the selection.. asap please help.

 

i have a record before but its for non immigrant. now when i tried to select visa type, k1 visa is not availabe

possibly or just didnt at all. i dont know what the situation is with the US embassy in the UAE, but I like you, wanted to move forward.  But after talking to my fiance, realized it is better to do it

@Simon&Jen hello. we have same case.. my  case was ready but still no letter received from embassy. almost a month already? have u try to  call them? to which number? or email?

Just received the PACKET 3 from my fiance yehey!!! (21 days of waiting thank god)

 

 

Interview is October 9.

K1 Visa Issued:             10-10-2017

Hi! As far as i know you need to select immigrant..although k1 is considered as non immigrant but with the intention of migrating (idk if i make sense lol) .

Hi,

 

Abu Dhabi US Embassy received our K1 docs October 3 and says READY on the website. My question is if we can proceed with the DS-160 form or should we wait for the consulate letter? There seems to be some confusion here since I’ve read on the NVC website that you can proceed scheduling the interview. Also, would it be ok to proceed with gathering the NBI clearance since my fiancé is originally from the Philippines and this would take some time to complete. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Good Morning.

 

 

First of all congratulations to you both. You can go ahead and do the DS-160 online. Please process her nbi clearance as soon as possible coz it may take 1 week for her to get it. She needs to go the Philippine embassy here in dubai and request a form along with the special power of attorney. After getting the form, she needs to go to the headquarters of dubai police in Al Qiyadah to her finger print taken. BTW she also needs to get a Certificate of Good Conduct (police clearance in dubai) in Al Qiyadah. Make sure to tell her that the reason for the request is for US Visa interview and it should reflect on her clearance "IMMIGRATION DEPARTMENT OF USA". 

 

From October 3, you have to wait a maximum of 3-4 weeks for you (petitioner) to receive the packet 3 from Abu Dhabi Embassy. Once you receive it, you can go ahead and set up the schedule for the interview and pay the visa fee online (https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ae/iv ).

She also needs to get a Certificate of No Marriage from the philippines.
