Hi There,

I had my interview at the US Consulate in Sydney for my IR1- Spouse of US Citizen on 15/08/2017 and was informed all was approved and I would receive my visa and passport within 2 weeks. Well today marks 10 business days and I still have no documents/passport and my case still shows Administrative Processing but my case has been updated twice in the last few days. Does anyone had this before and if so what forms of correspondence did you take with the embassy to get an update. I have emailed the emails provided but all I get is a automated response with 1-2 business days and when I got a reply it just said your visa will be returned within 10 business days.

Any help with the above would be appreciated.

Regards

They still do the last moment background checks so you need to worry the Status will be like AP>Ready>AP>ISSUED . It happened with me as well. Don't worry you will receive your e-mail from ustraveldocs very soon.

Coco8,

I am not freaked out I was just after some information on the matter. Two previous visa applicants had there visa returned in 2 business days. All information I had was that it would be returned within 10 business days. Yes I am keen to get to the USA as my wife and daughter moved back in March so therefore I am eager to get back especially with my daughters 3rd birthday coming up in a week's time. I feel for everyone and there positions and feel the process is very long and stressful for all involved.

regards

Calm down! 2 weeks is a rough timeline.

10 business days is basically 2 weeks and you are already freaking out?!?!

Count yourself lucky for being from Australia. People can be on AP for months or even years.
