We are currently working on the papers that NVC is asking from the RFE we recieved which will take us about a month to do then after sending it to nvc we just have to wait for case complete and then date for interview. Now we are going on vacation for a month mid december to mid january. My concern is what if they schedule the medical and interview on date that we are on vacation. Can we reschedule? If Yes, will there be any negative effects on the paper?

Yes, you can have your interview whenever you want. Just don't schedule your medical far from the interview because medical has an expiration date.

It won't affect negatively your visa. It will just take longer because you are pushing the interview for later, but it is not a problem. I a lot of people have the interview when it is more convenient for them for a number of reasons.

Scheduling the medical exam is the sole responsibility of the beneficiary, it will not be scheduled for them.

If you are scheduled for an interview date but are unable to make that date, you can reschedule it and it will not adversely affect your case.  However, depending on volume, a rescheduled date may be many months later.

Once you send the requested documents, you can expect 2 to 3 months before you receive a "case complete".  It could be later due to the holiday period.  Then, I would expect another month or so until your interview date.  If you request a new date, you risk of not getting one for a few months based on the embassy availability.

In our case, we requested a rescheduled interview after we received the interview date email from the Taipei consulate. We received a new date less than a week later than our original one (which was perfect for us).

Anyway, you probably want to wait to until you get the OFFICIAL date.

Best of Luck!!

You can also wait to send in the items for the checklist to make sure the interview takes place after your vacation.  You do not have to send the items ASAP.  You have a year.

Lots of good information provided by other, but no, medical exams don't have expiration dates.  They cannot be completed until there is an interview appointment letter, so if done between receipt of that letter and the interview, no problem.
