Hello vj family..it's been a while,i decided to post some important question regarding my cousin k1 application in Philippines..her K1 is already approved and sent to nvc for processing..inknow that after NVC the next step will be the interview in manila us embassy..her mom came here in United States last 2014 holding B1 visa..she decided to stay here..so means her visa is already expired and she's undocumented now,i know that in DS160 there is some question regarding parents and if she have relatives living here..and also she need to submit her BC in usem during the interview..that's why we are concerned if the usem will trace about her mom..and what else she can do about it..any insight and advice will be much appreciated

It is safe to stay that her mother's actions may affect her. The only way to know for sure is to go to the interview when it is time and answer questions truthfully. Answer ds160 truthfully as well. Wish her all the best.

this will indeed be tricky. although in my opinion the effect will probably worse for her mother than for your fiancee ie if her mother has been able to evade getting flagged until now, perhaps this time she will be flagged. but best to always be honest and tell the truth irregardless. good luck!
