Just curious if you attended a march like this with a concealed carry permit, felt threatened and killed someone would it be justified self defense?

Given Antifa's attacking and mobbing people, I'd just presume by default an Antifa terrorist being shot is justified.

I disagree.  (Not about the guns, that is a separate issue).  But doesn't the first amendment to the constitution guarantee the right to a PEACABLE assembly?

So since both sides have shown a propensity towards violence, how about no one give them any more permits, anywhere in the US?  Seems reasonable to me.  If they can't play well, then they don't get to play, period.

I mean, we have Charlottesville, now Berkeley, as proof that it only causes problems in the past two weeks.  Why promote this by allowing them to gather?

 

I was lucky to miss the VA one.  Was just there a few days before it went down.

well that's actually whats been happening. thing is, when a community like berkley hears white supremacists are speaking at a 'patriot prayer' rally, masses of counter protesters show up. some, nowhere near all, of those counter protesters might have been antifa/anarchists. same thing in charlottesville, the vast majority of counter protesters were not antifa, however some peaceful protesters did say that antifa protected them from violent white supremacist scum. theres a reason the alt right wants to be normalized and not seen as violent while demonizing antifa. they want it to be acceptable to shoot their resistance on site, as you see suggested a few posts above.

They think escalating things to violence will get them their way.. unfortunately it will wind up with people in a morgue. And they still won't get their way. Since its the left thats been encouraging them they should be the ones to talk them down.. whatever happens after that, there's no feeling sorry for Antifa, nor the left who seem to enjoy lighting a fuse for both imaginary reasons and for not getting their way in the prior election.

and someone did end up in a morgue. and it wasn't due to any thing "the left" did. if a group attempts to spread racist views, morally sound people on both the right, left and in between, are going to come together and resist that racism. of course we'll get our way, racists will never prevail.

The left can subjectively label anything they like (as I've pointed out with prior links groups like Antifa think journalists are Nazis and have attacked them), it means nothing as far as the law is concerned, when they think this dumb criteria of theirs allows them to attack people, they've earned whatever happens next to them. There's no pass for violence. I hope every Antifa member that engages someone violently gets whats coming to them.
