Hi everyone,

My fiance and I filed the initial forms very recently and I have become a little worried about some aspects of the application. Hopefully someone can provide some advice?

Firstly, we haven't received the NOA1 yet and I've realised we've stupidly made a mistake with the application. We're missing a required document. Can we post it to them once we receive the NOA1, or do we have to wait for an RFE a few months down the line?

I've "lived" in China for a few years now. I'm on a tourist visa. I've been working during the time, but as a "digital nomad" position for a company registered outside of China. I leave China frequently, usually spending at least one week a month outside.

My concerns are that:

- It's impossible to get police records whilst on a tourist visa. The Chinese gov doesn't issue them. This site seems to suggest that the US gov are aware of this and they're not required, but I've been in China for a long time, is it going to be a problem if I can't provide police records for the past 3 or so years?

- Will this be seen as working illegally, and count against me during the interview process? Not many countries offer specific visa categories for remote work that can be performed anywhere. How do I explain it? Will it even be brought up?

Thanks in advance for your help.
