Hello every one, I am a new member in this page. It seems to me that everyone is quite helpful on this site so I decided to post this topic and hope to find answer from everyone. I am practicing on this types of service where I help explained to my client to fill out the forms and assemble them in a package then send to the U.S.C.I.S. Until this day, my client got their approval notice (I-797C?) and got their biometric done from the local U.S.C.I.S agency since May 10, 2017 (By the way, the female client came as an K-1 visa) but up 'til today. She haven't received her 2 yrs green card yet. Does she require to wait at least until November or does she have to go through an interview before she receive her green card? Please help me learn more about this conditions so I may help my clients with deeper explanations. Thank you everyone for your time to read my post and hope to hear from all.

The green card can take up to 6 months or more to receive. Sometimes they receive a green card without an interview but they will inform her of the interview date when it is time.

Did she apply for work and travel authorization when she applied for AOS?

Thank you for your responding, She did not apply for that yet. Does that required to or can she do it until the green card arrived?

It sounds like they got an acceptance notice, not an approval notice. First they accept the packet, then biometrics. At some point later they may want an interview. Adjusting from a K-1 also may not have an interview. It's just a luck of the draw, really. The green card can take a year or longer, with most being in about 9 months or so from what I see, but it heavily varies from office to office.

It's not required, but she cannot work or leave (and return) to the US without an EAD or AP (or until the green card arrives). There is no filing fee when filed due to a pending I-485. Send a copy of the I-485's NOA1 (the I-797C) instead of payment, per page 16 of the I-485's instructions. ETA: ~4 months from filing to approval.

At this point, it's difficult to say if it's worth it or not because the green card may be approved in less than 4 months. There's no harm in filing, though.

It can take upwards of a year before receiving the 2 year green card when adjusting status from a K1 fiance visa. If she has already done the biometrics as you said she did then the ONLY thing you can do is just wait right now for either the interview of an approval. So when did she file for AOS?

She came to U.S by March 3rd, 2017, took PH exam the week after, apply for marriage license, then after that. She did a I-485 late April. Then, on May 10th, she went to have her Biometric. Up until now, she's waiting for the card or interview notifications like you've mentioned before. But now because of the helpful from you guys, I've learned that by the next clients come, I have to apply for the work permit along with the adjustment in able to have high chances of avoiding the interview. (if that's the case) Thank you everyone for your help, I hope to make this service as a major, I most likely to help people and not their money.

Just a quick correction on what you stated above in bold. Applying for the work permit along with the adjustment of status does NOT have any effect whether or not they will have an interview.  There is no set course of action that will guarantee that a person applying for AOS will not have an interview. Like previously mentioned, sometimes it just happens.

Thank you for your corrections, I now learn another lesson from you and others. I hope to take this lessons to improve my service for my clients. With this I also do travel Visa for Vietnam also.
