Hello! My fiancé and I finally received our NOA2 168 days after our NOA1 and we're eager to hear from the NVC. I know the letter we received said processing times are between 2-4 weeks and to not call before 30 days have passed. I was really hoping to spend the holidays with my fiancé but I'm discouraged by how long this is taking. I know all I can do is prepare the next steps ahead of time and be patient but it still sucks. I have a couple questions, if anyone has any insight to them please let me know!

1)  After I receive the letter from the NVC saying our petition has been sent, how long should my fiancé expect to wait to hear from the US embassy in London to schedule an interview? I know it's different for everyone, I'm just looking for a rough estimate so I can try to plan.

2)  I'm preparing the affidavit of support and my father agreed to be my fiancé's sponsor. Do I still fill out a separate affidavit of support for myself or do I not need to because I don't make enough money and he can fully sponsor?

Thanks so much! I hope everyone's process is going smoothly :)

1) Embassy specific do not sure.

2) You're the petitioner so you'll still need to complete a I-134 as the main sponsor. Your dad will complete a separate I-134.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

Nvc is sometimes slow notifying you by letter. Your case could be in London before NVC bothers to send your letter. If you manage to get your new case number from NVC, either by letter or calling them, then you can check your case status on CEAC and know if the case is in route or arrived in London. With that case number you can make your medical appointment. Be sure to get the police certificate before going to medical. Once medical appointment is booked, you can also book the interview online. You don't even need the letter the embassy sends, but it does contain your instruction link.

For a LONDON K1 interview, NO you do not need to do an I-134. They want one from the person who qualifies with income, your Dad.
