I received NVC letter 20 days ago but my fiancé has not received any letter / email from Mumbai embassy regarding document checklist or interview appointment. I've also tried calling them but their phone system is only automatic responses, there is no person available to talk. What can I do at this point?

E-mail the embassy. It will be easier to obtain a response this way.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

It took a while with me as well. After 6 weeks, I emailed the embassy, they then asked my address. We don' have a call center to ask questions to.

So I would advice you to send an email and check up on your status.

Good luck!

I've been through the similar situation. My wife(then fiancee) received the letter in November 2016 and she said i should expect the letter by November ending or first week of December. I've contacted USTRAVELDOCS on around 20th December 2016 and they said they have already sent the checklist mail on December 2nd 2016. My K-1 case was with New Delhi Embassy. Anyways, UStraveldocs have sent me a e-mail with all the instructions and then I followed that. Don;t contact the consulate. Ask your fiancee to contact ustraveldocs with every issue he/she has with the visa process.

Thank you! I've contact them through email on the website. Asked me to send them scanned copy of the letter I received from NVC. Not just case number which is strange. Still waiting for their reply after submitting it.

Ok. Yea they usually take 48 hours to reply. What i've observed is, even if you cally the toll-free number of ustraveldocs and discuss the issue the still want you to send an email describing the same issue. They never asked for the scanned copy of anything. Again its different from case to case. Anyways no problem, you will receive the instructions by e-mail
