No.  That's the trend. All those who have been interviewed waited between 16 to 20 months. I have check from other people and they also havnt received anything

Did you apply on 5 year basis or 3 years? Is your application tied to any other application that is pending?

Hello,

I just wanted to join this thread and share my experience. I filed at the St. Paul Office on February 11, 2019 (For all other dates, check my timeline below). I was scheduled for my interview on October 10th, in Duluth. I was schedule for 10:00 am, I arrived a couple of minutes early but I was not called until about noon. The interview took a bit over than an hour.

The officer recommended my case for approval. I am now waiting for an oath ceremony. I do have a citation (for inattentive driving) that resulted in a fine of less than 150.00 dollars. I hope this does not create any issues.

I will review the thread and check for others to see how long is it taking from the time of the interview to oath ceremony here in Minnesota. If anyone has comments on timing, let me know.

I was at the Minnesota field office, but they transferred All of SD to the Nebraska office as of the end of August. My interview was then scheduled in Sioux Falls, on the 23rd October. (Applied Nov 14th 2018)

My interview was at 940am, but actually started around 10. The office seemed to be not very busy.

The officer asked me the 6 questions, who's President, one war in 1900's, Federalist papers Author, founding father, and two other easy ones.

He was thorough in going through my application, mixed up some dates on purpose to see if I was concentrating (and not just saying yes sir to everything). After about 20 min, he recommended me for approval.

The next morning I got confirmation of a approval online!!!

I'm hoping the ceremony is soon!

Thanks all for the experiences shared on here, it definitely made it easier to wait knowing what others are going through too.

Hey, thank you.

It is not actually a screenshot, I copied the timeline from the visa journey timeline thingy and when I pasted it, it pasted it like a table. It looked really nice so I left it like that.

Congrats, you are so lucky. My status just said: "you attended your interview, there is nothing you need to do now".

@Prince2togo, I believe USCIS has to issue a decision on your application within 120 days after your interview. You can actually take them to federal court and request a judicial review of your case if a decision has not been issued by then. This probably explains why you were told to expect a response by November 3rd as that date aligns with the 120 days cutoff period. I suspect they'll probably approve your application pretty soon.

Hi guys.

i just completed my combo interview days ago in minnesota. First of all, I wanna thank stories and posts from the forum for enriching my knowledge in the application process. My interview went much much much much easier than I expected. When I was called in, I came by myself to the door, but the IO asked if my wife came with me. I said yes. Then we both were called in. While my wife was walking in, the IO told me that he already accepted my case because the package I sent for i751 was good enough, but he had to call me in the room and ask 2-3 simple questions because it’s the law. Indeed, me and my wife sat in the same room, no separation. We were asked about names, address, who live in the house, date of marriage. Then he processed n400. Super nice and easy IO. I printed out a lot of additional documents and photos since I submitted i751, but the IO did not need a single of them. He said I have 99% of chance being naturalized on 11/26. They all approved i751 and n400 the very next day, and they also sent me oath letter already. Super fast. Thank you all

Any news? Are you planning to sue if the 120 days are up and you get no update?

My wife's N400 interview is next week in Minneapolis.  I will be driving her there and we need to take our 5 and 1 year old kids along as we have no place to leave them for the long duration of the trip.  Is there any place nearby where I could wait with the kids fairly comfortably? We live in western part of the state and we don't know the cities that well.  I hear that the duration of the visit could be anything from 1 to 4 hours (depending on the delays that day), so I am especially worried about having to sit in some office waiting room with a 1 year old for hours.  Any tips?
