For the ceremony I know you're supposed to dress up. Does that mean friends and family as well? And how much should my husband dress up : formal dress (dress shirt and dress pants) or suit?

Business casual as a minimum for everyone.

1.5 weeks out since approval and no oath date here yet. The only reason MSP is "speeding up" is because they are delaying ND and Northern MN filers.

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.

You will be done before they close. Once they schedule you they try to stick with it unless something major happens.

Thanks!!!

I agree with you. Those who applied after me have been scheduled for interview in MN. The only crime is I am an ND resident.

I've been watching this thread for a long time and now it's my turn to share my experience with N400 interview.

My husband and I went in for the interview yesterday at 1:45pm and got called around 2:20pm (appointment was scheduled for 2:15pm). The officer asked my husband to wait outside and that she would call him if needed. She then started with my pending I-751 application and basically just asked all questions that were in the form and since nothing had changed, she approved it and moved on to my N400 application.

She also asked all questions from N400 form (including all those Yes/No questions) and some personal questions as well. The only thing she changed was a misspelled previous address and added a trip that we took outside the country after we filed.

For English test, it appeared on the tablet "How many US senators are there?" and I had to read it out loud then for writing portion I had to write "There are one hundred US senators". For Civics test, my questions were:

1) What is the highest court in the United States?

2) Name 3 of the 13 original states

3) First three words of the Constitution

4) How many voting members in the House of Representatives?

5) One power that belongs to the states?

I don't remember the last one but I got them all right so she didn't have to continue.

Then she called my husband in and asked him the same personal questions she had asked me during the interview. He answered everything and she approved the application and said that she was placing me in line for oath. According to her it takes 2-8 weeks for oath to be scheduled and then when we get the letter the oath usually takes place around 2-4 weeks later.

Oh she also gave me a document that says I don't have my greencard because it was taken when I went in to get a stamp. I'm supposed to take it with me to the oath ceremony.

Hope everyone has a good experience like we did.
