Haven't been here for a while.

Good luck everyone.

Just one note: for those scheduled for oath ceremonies, please don't waste your time and don't appear hours in advance, you will have to wait long long hours before the ceremony starts.

My first entry.. Finished my Interview in Minneapolis today. I live in Wisconsin. I could have taken my oath today right there but decided against it since I was by myself and I would like to have my family with me. My interviewer called today the Wisconsin day. They schedule everybody from WI and they can do the oath ceremony on site to avoid travel again.

How was the interview? Can you please provide us with some details about the questions the docs that asked you to show? Thanks!

Sure :)

It started right on time at 9 am. You walk through a maze of hallways.. Keep standing as you enter the office because you have to say your oath. Then she wanted my Greencard and driver's license. She pulled up my N400 form on her computer and went through everything again. The form she had up didn't list any travel outside of the US within the last 5 years or that I'm married or that I have a daughter - all things I put on my application. I told her that I have a copy of what I've submitted but she didn't want to see it. She said they've been having computer issues, clicked a few more times and resolved it. She said I believe you since you just told me you would be answering everything truthfully.

I had all my original documents, passports and copy of N400 application - she didn't want to see any of them.

Right after she got done reviewing the application (that took the longest, at least 10 minutes) she jumped right into the test questions:

1) When was the Declaration of Independence adopted?

2) What ocean is on the East Coast of the United States?

3) Who is charge of the Executive branch?

4) Why does the flag have 13 stripes?

5) When must all men register for Selective Service?

6) What happened at the Constitutional Convention?

Then I had to read one sentence on the screen - something about government. Next one was to write one sentence on the screen: We pay taxes. (yes, that simple and short :))

Afterwards she had me review and sign all of the corrections she made to my application. I had to sign that all my information is correct.

Then she offered me to stay until 1:15 pm to participate in the oath ceremony which I declined - I'm not in a big hurry and would like it to be a special event where my family can join me.

She said Congratulations and handed me a piece of paper that states that my application has been recommended for approval.

All in all she joked a lot and was very friendly and I was out by 9:20 am :)

I hope this helps :)

Thanks for posting.

In summary, even if marijuana is legal in your state, it's still illegal federally and a conviction could prevent you from demonstrating Good Moral Character.
