Question for all of you who have used the Marquette plaza parking ramp recently. I know Minneapolis has put into effect one side of the street parking only due to the amount of snow we have. Does this mean The Marquette plaza ramp will be full?

Unlikely. It is very rarely full in my experience and I park there daily.

There are several other options in the immediate area so keep those in your back pocket just in case.

Finally received status updates! Completed the interview on Jan 30th and just received these updates:

Oddly, I have differing results on the iOS app, the new case status tracker, and the old one. That's USCIS for ya I guess!

Amazingly it says another 5 month wait to get the oath ceremony. Really hope that's not accurate!

Wow so if all goes well we shouldn't expect an update for a month? I hope your oath ceremony is soon. And here we were hoping his oath ceremony would be in April. Well it is what it is.

BTW is there any cafes in the government building or nearby to go to while we wait? We are going down there a couple hours early to avoid potential problems.

Also do they allow cell phones in uscis? Will they make me leave it in the car or should I just have it shut off in my bag?

There are no cafes or anything in Marquette Plaza (USCIS building) and there is barely any seating as they're renovating the skyway level. 1 building over there are couches and another building over there is a small cafe called Max's Cafe.

Phones are allowed inside/in the waiting room, though obviously don't have it out while you're interviewing.

So today was the combo interview ROC/N400.

We parked in the Marquette Plaza, it was extremely full. We found one vacant spot which we swiftly took. Went up to 7th floor and checked in. While waiting in lobby we went through our civics test flashcards one more time. His number was called, we didnt hear it, the IO ended up coming out and collecting him. He was a tall african american with a warm smile. So he took him in and I stayed in the waiting room so everything else I am about to say is from what my hubby told me.

He asked him "Is your wife here too?" he said "yes shes in the waiting room".

They then sat down and went through the application. Then did the civics questions. He got the first 6 right so then they stopped there since he passed already. He then recited a sentence in english and wrote a sentence in english. He misspelled a word by accident but the IO said that was alright.

Then they went onto the I-751. He asked what date did you get married? And what dates did you come and visit prior to K1 fiance visa? My husband is really bad with remembering dates and was honest and said he didnt remember but that the dates were in the binder he brought in. So he looked them up and told him. He didnt seem bothered he didnt know them off the top of his head. Asked when we met and how we met. He said we met on a online message board. The IO asked what was the name of it. But he didnt remember and (I dont remember either to be honest, the message board was shut down shortly after we met).

The IO was satisfied with everything and said I am recommending you for approval for I-751 and N400. He also said he couldnt properly approve the N400 until 3 days from now because he has to approve the I-751 in the system first. He then handed him two papers one saying he had been reccomended for approval for I-751 and second for N400 saying A decision cannot be made at this time.

So that was our day.

Also I would like to add the IO knew I was in the lobby because hubby told him. They didn't call me in for interview. Which I was surprised about because of our pending I-751.

Congrats. I can't believe it took you from January 30 to now to get the update. Is that normally how long it takes?

Hey All

Just wanted to share an update, my N400 interview was 2 weeks ago Feb 11 and since then my N400 & I-751 status was the same. Just this morning my pending i 751 receipt# now shows - On February 21, 2019, we ordered your new card.....
I was told during the N400 interview that my I751 was approved but just needed to be entered in the system then the N400 could be approved. She said it would take EOW but finally after 2 weeks something changed. I'm hoping the next update will be for N400 approval. Thank god i see some movement :)

Did you end up getting your new GC? Day after my hubbys interview his I-751 changed to My new card is being produced.
