Guys ... my interview is tomorrow afternoon and suddenly I'm super nervous. There really isn't anything I should be nervous about. I'm applying as a green card holder 30+ years. I came here as a refugee child. I grew up in this country and speak and write English fluently. I got the civics stuff down. I've never traveled outside the country. Should be approved easily right? I hope so!

I'm just afraid they might ask me why I didn't apply for citizenship sooner. Are they allowed to ask such questions? I don't really have a good answer for it. To be totally honest, I never saw it as a huge priority being young at the time and I guess my parents never pushed for it. It's not a good answer.

I'll come back with good news tomorrow I hope.

Try not to be too nervous. You got this!   A lot of long time green card holders are moving forward on citizenship in the last few years, spurred in large part by Donald Trump and his anti-immigrant policies. There are also many many LPRs that will never get citizenship and there is nothing wrong with that. Just tell the truth and you'll be fine.

I agree with Birchscott. I had my Greendcard for 18 years. They are only interested in the last 5. Keep your answers brief and on point. yes/No unless they ask for clarification. Be pleasant and curteous, but not overly friendly, and you will carry the day.

I noticed that the N400 processing data for July 1- September 30, 2018 has been released. News for MSP is not that great....

received 3,879 approved 2,262 Denied 405 Pending 18,826.   Do the math received > approved + denied, so the backlog has increased by 1212.

But this data is sort of out of Date since its for the quarter ending Sept 2018.

Citizenship interview on coming Tuesday March 5th for my husband. Yes I am coming with. Can anyone reccomend some easily accessible parking to someone who is poor at driving downtown (me!)? I don't care about price, I just want to know the easiest parking lot/garage to go into?

If price doesn't matter, Fifth Street Towers have good parking lot that is skyway connected to USCIS building (~3-7 min walk).

Or, if you prefer to avoid driving in downtown at all, municipal ramps A, B and C are for you: you can enter them directly from freeway (I-394). Skyway connected ~15-20 min walk.

ATTENTION!!!   Minneapolis N400 filers,  please use the link below to review others or update your status .!  Changes will be saved automatically. Best luck to all of us!

I happen to work in the same building as USCIS and park in the underground ramp. Without question this is your easiest option, but it's definitely not your cheapest. Max daily rate is $26.

If you choose to use it, enter on S. 3rd Street. The entrance will be on your right, just before Nicollet Ave. Park then follow the elevator signage. Head through the open double doors by the vending machines to the main bank of elevators and proceed to 7th floor. Best of luck!

Does the parking lot have a name? I'm looking on Google maps. I also found North Terminal parking lot which is outside and practically outside the building. Does that lot fill up fast on a Tuesday? The interview is at 1 pm.

I used the underground parking ramp as well... ($18),  google maps Marquette Plaza Garage and get directions,  it should direct you to enter from S. 3rd street. It was not full when I went for my interview 5 weeks ago. Also it has an auto door, which means the carpark is not so cold and windy in low temps. Also if you arrive early there is a sky ramp on the level above the street, and you can walk 2 buildings over and get a coffee.

Marquette Plaza Garage.

I can't really provide insight to that parking lot, but i know it's one of the last remaining surface lots around and I'd imagine it fills quickly. Also last time I used it 2 years ago it was cash only.

Ok I'll remember to have cash on hand. If that lot is full I'll use Marquette plaza garage.

Hello All,

I had my N400 interview on February 25th at Minneapolis and everything went well. I passed the civics but was handed a decision cannot be made. IO said he needed to review my file. My status online still shows Interview Scheduled. When should i expect a decision and an online status change. Anyone in this situation. Thanks

Does Marquette plaza garage take card or is it cash only?
