Same situation here. Photo copy is fine, plus state ID and passport. I also brought copies of the I--551 stamps. They'll have you fill out a form explaining why you don't have the green card. You must bring this form to the oath ceremony.

So do they give you this form prior to interview?

My wife's application was approved!  Wow, what an indescribable relief.

Unfortunately they did not allow me into the interview but I will have her summarize the experience here later.  I can say that they didn't even glance at any of the supporting documentation I brought. Most of interest to the AO was her travel history and I-551 stamp.  He probed as to why I didn't accompany my wife on a few trips outside of the U.S., but there was no issue there.

Best of luck to everyone else!

Did you file N400 based on 3 years of marriage? Was it supposed to be a combo ROC and citizenship?

if you are filing N400 based on marriage with US citizen (3-year role), you might or not have to bring your citizen husband to the interview.  as it was not stated on the interview letter.  Even your husband goes with you on that day, he would have to wait in the lobby.  if the officer feels something more needed to evaluate your marriage, s/he might choose to call your husband into the interview room for further discussion. or send you home and submit additional documents.

if you filed based on 5-year role, you can go alone for your interview.

What if you still have a pending ROC?

Yes we did have pending RoC. I thought for sure he'd ask me to join the interview for that reason, but really the RoC seemed like an afterthought.

I brought hundreds of pages of documentation proving a bona fide marriage, including photos, and he didn't look at anything except additional travel history. I believe this was because our i-751 and n-400 filings were strong enough that no follow up/double checking was needed during the interview. Most RoC filers (without concurrent n-400) aren't even required to come in for an interview. I was also told by a lawyer friend that the spouse may receive an interview notice if deemed necessary.

As to your question about not having your GC, that document will be provided during the interview. Applicants not having their GCs is quite common now that case processing times are so high, so no worries there.

I think MN is currently processing March of 2018 applications. I was just scheduled for an interview last week.

This is not accurate. This is showing worst case scenario. We filed in March 2018. Myuscis said completion date wouldnt be till December 2019. Husband was just scheduled for interview on March 5th 2019.

And yet again, there are other filers before you in December and myself who have not gotten interviews. Perhaps your combo interviews are moving more quickly, who knows?

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.

Yes I believe this to be the case. The ROC being combined to the N400 forces the case to be expedited because the ROC has been pending for a long time.

It's not quite true to say this isn't accurate, nor that it's worst case scenario.

According to USCIS:

The low end of the range for pilot forms shows the time it takes to complete 50 percent of cases, and the high end shows the time it takes to complete 93 percent of cases. (https://www.uscis.gov/news/news-releases/uscis-updates-webpage-share-more-accurate-processing-times)

Additionally it appears true that those with pending I-751s may move up in the pile. When the I-751 gets sent to your local office, they can't adjudicate it while an N-400 is pending, so they combine the two.  Our case status was saying completion in November 2019 but we had our interview last week.

The processing times shown above is based on data collected about 2 months ago. It doesn't accurately represent the real time processing times. It appears things are moving fast now in MN office

I don't believe there is any evidence to indicate it is moving quickly at this juncture.
