My wife's application was approved!  Wow, what an indescribable relief.

Unfortunately they did not allow me into the interview but I will have her summarize the experience here later.  I can say that they didn't even glance at any of the supporting documentation I brought. Most of interest to the AO was her travel history and I-551 stamp.  He probed as to why I didn't accompany my wife on a few trips outside of the U.S., but there was no issue there.

Best of luck to everyone else!

Congrats to your wife. This is a big relief. It seems things are moving fast in Minneapolis looking at those who are being scheduled for interviews. I cant wait for this journey to be over.🤗

Hey Guys,

I just wanted to give you all a heads up. I received the long awaited  email today that by N-400 has been scheduled for an interview. I filed on March 20, 2018. My fingerprints were taken on April 12th. I am so excited. I filed based on three years marriage rule.

Yes, they have picked up some speed for real. Another person who filed on March 15th got their interview scheduled I think a week ago. I think, they are currently processing March 2018 N-400.

But maybe they are scheduling people who live far away for a day when they will have same day oaths?  It would be nice if they kept us in the loop.

I live in Minneapolis  and I am not far away. Where are you at? I am sorry to hear that they haven’t scheduled you for an interview. Maybe, the person that’s assigned to your case might be very slow. Hang in there! You will receive an interview letter soon.

The far northern part of the state.

It is actually an inconvenient time for an interview, so I'd rather it were later. I was just trying to point out that it isn't speeding up per se.

Hey everyone. On interview letter it says bring green card and second form of ID. When my husband went in for a info pass last year to get a I-551 stamp because his extension letter was about to expire for ROC they took his GC but made a photo copy of both sides and handed it to us. How will this work for interview? Will we need two OTHER forms of ID? Or can he show the photocopy we still have and one other form of ID?

Does your husband have a state or driver license? I assume one of  those count as a form of ID. If I were your husband, I will carry the I-551 and a photocopy of the expired GC. Also if you have the extension letter, let him carry it to the interview as well.

Same situation here. Photo copy is fine, plus state ID and passport. I also brought copies of the I--551 stamps. They'll have you fill out a form explaining why you don't have the green card. You must bring this form to the oath ceremony.

Don't worry. If you are far north that it will take you hours to get to the cities, they normally put  all the applicants from that area together and schedule them at a date that will enable an IO to fly there and conduct the interview.  Another reason could be your background isn't completed. If you filed online, you can sent a message for the status of your application.
