yours should be very soon since you filed last July.  its been 1 year now

New to this forum but my n400 application was received by USCIS on 07/18/2017 (paper filing). Have any other July 2017 filers started receiving interview notices?


My current status says: "On September 18, 2017, we started the interview scheduling process for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, Receipt Number NBC****. We will send you an interview notice."

I'm just curious about how much time we get before the interview date. Was hoping to start preparing for the civics test depending on when I get the notice. :)

case update  today from my account that the PDF notice shows my interview is scheduled on 9/17 Monday . My wife is also scheduled on the same day.

have you called the USCIS hotline for your background check status ? you are over 1 year

I've tried calling them to talk to a different officer/agent about getting more info in the past two months, but both times I got a generic response of, "They are busy, not taking calls. Call again at a later date if you would like to try again". Hoping that this will move ahead by the end of the year.

Take a look at that receipt date for a case inquiry..... I'm hoping they're having some technical glitches and they really mean 2017.
