They should ship in some IOs from other states for a couple of weeks to clear the backlog.

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.

best solution is that the SD,ND has individual USCIS field office set up for their own state, so that Minneapolis office can manage case only from Minnesota.

or, set up another local field office at Rochester, Minnesota(the 2nd biggest metro in Minnesota ), which can actually cover southeast of Minnesota,southwest of Wisconsin,  East of South Darkota....i guess this can help Minneapolis  office have half of the current work load.

  • Day 0:  11/16/2017, e-filing N400
  • Day 306:  9/18/2018,  interview day--passed and in line for oath.
  • Day 332: 10/15/2018, Oath Day

Biometric done today.. my appt was at 11 AM. I reached there at 10:46.. 2 people ahead of me.. within 4 minutes, they called me in.. took a picture in which I look absolutely horrendous. they had me scan only the right hand 4 fingers, then the system did a search.. I'm assuming it found me, as the officer was then like "you are done, thank you!"

 

I walked out of there at 10:58, still 2 minutes before my appointment. they did gave me a booklet for the civics test, which was nice.

 

Now, I wait.

I believe they are well and truly processing 2017 applications (see spreadsheet). What this date refers to, is if you havent heard anything and you applied before this date then you can submit a special request to have your case reviewed. Cheers.

or you can sue USCIS

back to May 2018, i login my account and submitted an online request for "not receiving my document"...after 3 months, here came their response.

"USCIS systems indicate that your case is awaiting an interview. Your local USCIS Field Office will contact you once they are able to schedule the appointment. Should you not be contacted by your local USCIS Field Office within 90 days of this notice, please contact us" 

i dont believe there will be any interview letter within next 3 moths.😡 ...just 3 more months, it will be my 1-year anniversary since filing. i am very optimistic i will have interview notice by Nov 2018.
