I had my interview today and the officer told me that next Oath ceremonies are mid December. 🤷‍♀️

I would not believe the officer. They are misleading. They like to say things just to get you out of the room. Yes there will be oath ceremonies in mid December. It's not "the next".  Instead there are are small ceremonies at the S.P. River Center throughout months of Oct, Nov, and Dec. Officers frequently lie. But Good luck. I hope you become a citizen soon.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for both of us so it happens soon. Cheer up! It seems to be the final stretch.

I submitted N400 since May 2020 and all I got yet was a biometrics appointment May 2021. No sign of interview and people that submitted way after me are already citizen. This is soo frustrating.

I’m so sorry to hear that. Right now the receipt date for a case inquiry is April 16th, 2020. Try to

monitor that, if you don’t hear back from them and your date comes up contact USCIS as soon as you’re eligible. Best of luck!

Unfortunately I have found that it doesn’t depend on the order/date you submit your case, filing online or by paper processing times are different and also depends on who’s desk you landed on plus how strong your case is to your assigned immigration officer.

Anyone that has waited over a year, it wouldn’t be the worst idea to contact your local Senators office to conduct a formal congressional inquiry. One thing I learned doing this as a K1 and pending N400 is no matter what reply you get from USCIS via a Senators Office you just may have potentially put your case onto someone’s desk that may look at it sooner.

Question: the estimated time shown on myuscis is an estimate of the time to completion from the day it was posted, or from the day the application was submitted? If today the website says that the estimated time to completion is 10 months, is it 10 months from today, or from the day my application was received?

I can’t speak entirely about this but I can say that the estimated time to completion is not accurate by any means.

N400 can take a few months or it can take many years sadly.
