I filed in September and I haven't had biometrics yet. On the website it says "We are taking longer than expected to process your case". 🤷‍♀️

We had our biometrics within a couple of weeks of filing, if I remember correctly!  I think your case is definitely taking longer than expected.

Hello Everyone,

I just logged into my portal. I filed OCT 2020 and it showed an estimated completion of November 2021. Today it shows estimated completion August 2021.

Could it be they are going to try rush alot of applications to get everyone's oath done in the summer of 2021, I hear they are pushing the oaths back months for some ( sorry about that :( ) to accommodate for the requirements to do the outdoor ceremonies.

Mine just changed to completion in July 2021, I believe it was October before.

I am just wondering if they are going to conduct indoor oath ceremonies this winter/spring... Or they have decided just to postpone them  all till summer... 🤦‍♀️

if it's cold out it will probably be indoors. They didn't allow guests at my husband's ceremony due to the 'rona so I didn't get to be there 😒...which means no pictures to commemorate or remember. Phooey! Maybe things will change by the time they schedule yours

Congratulations! Did they mention anything at the interview about a ceremony delay? Please keep us posted when you get a ceremony date... Thanks!  Also, what did you get for questions, if you may share?  Thanks again!

I really do not think they will postpone all ceremonies to the summer. It just sounds too much (if weather is the only reason). I mean, maybe spring (if they actually do that)... Now, there could be some policy-change that could make things move slower/faster due to the pandemic or due to being almost in January with new leadership or both.

Not sure... but I heard through someone that there are multiple locations for indoor oath ceremony which they have been doing here in MN... not sure why they want to wait till Summer. I am waiting on my Oath Ceremony letter to see when they scheduled it.

Thank you! They did not mention anything about ceremonies getting delayed. But I didn’t ask him either... didn’t want to ask him any questions...🤫

My interview started with him asking me to raise my right hand to swear that I will tell the truth. Then asked for my License, GC, Passport. Then a reading test “ Who was Abraham Lincoln?” and then a writing test on iPad “ Thanksgiving is in November”. Next he asked 6 random civic questions:

1. Where is Statue of Liberty?

2. What is the Capital of US?

3. When was the Declaration of Independence adopted?

4. Who wrote the Declaration of Independence?

5. Why did the colonists come to America?

6. What is one right for every citizen?

Then he said he will go over the application and asked the questions in the app from Full Name, Address, Employment, Job Title, 5 years employment, 5 years travel details to outside of US, marriage date, current citizenship, husband’s full name, his current citizenship kids names and their DOB and where they live and where they were born, if I owed any taxes, and then proceeded to Yes/No questions in Part 12 of the application. He said he is recommending my application for approval and I will receive a letter in email about Oath Ceremony.

It took almost 15 mins for everything and was fairly easy.

Waiting on Oath Ceremony letter... hopefully it will be scheduled soon.

Thank you so much for sharing all the details! I am so glad to hear the good news of scheduling ceremonies in January. Congratulations
