That sucks. My husband and his family wanted to come to my oath ceremony but I guess if they’re not letting guests in then there’s no point.

My documents tab isn’t showing the letter yet. How long after the interview notice showed up in the account was the actual interview date? Will they give 2-3 weeks notice for the interview?

Was maybe 5 or 6 weeks between the time they scheduled the interview until the day of the interview. They will give you plenty of Time.

My interview got scheduled. Yay! It’s on December 2nd in Fargo. Did anyone go to Fargo for their interview? I wish they had same day Oath ceremony.

Does anyone know of a site to check the oath ceremony schedule in Fargo for December and Jan 2021? I tried finding online but no luck yet.

My interview got scheduled. It’s on December 2nd in Fargo. Did anyone get their interview in Fargo? I wanted to change my name but I’m worried it’ll add time to my already long 18 month wait. Do they do same day oath ceremony in Fargo?

Anyone know the site to check the upcoming oath ceremony schedule?

Where did you see that people finished through the whole process in 5 months? I never saw that!  The wait estimate was similar for us even before COVID.  They estimated about 1 year (it will come down 1 month after you get your biometrics). But, some people finished in 8 months before COVID. Now it is taking them longer but estimates are the same.

yeah, moving but too slow... still waiting for interview date for my husband. We called  Tier 2 representative and was said that the case was awating interview, but it fully depended on the local office.

How did you speak with a tier 2 rep?  All I am able to get is their automated help line with their 1-800 number. Thanks

Go back a few pages or on other forums ( trackitt etc.)  some people filed in Aug got approve Feb/March through MSP.

Edit : Maybe I exaggerated a little looks like 7ish months was more like the timelines. That being said if we are under a 3 year rule and our I-751 has been approved , is there any way its processed quicker? Or we just play the waiting game and they are all processed in the same order

All a waiting game. There’s no apparent order of what is processed when. My husband had all the same conditions you described: approved I751 and filing under 3 years rule. I probably sent more than enough evidence and it still took the better part of a year and a half. I think Minneapolis is probably one of the slower regions of the country to when it comes to processing times and what not so that doesn’t help either.
I guess just think of it as stopped at a stoplight. Eventually you’re going to get the greenlight just got to wait for it

Hi everyone,

Now that the RoC is finished, I'm ready to file for naturalization! Two questions:

1) Is MSP still the slowest USCIS office in the Union? What's the realistic delay, 12-18 months for naturalization?

2) Does the 90-day-before rule also applies to naturalization? Say my GC says "Residence since:   July 1 2016". Can I apply for naturalization on June 1 2021 (within 90 days before the eligibility date), or I have to wait until July 2 2021 or later?

Thanks!

I don't know about the slowest, but it is one of the slower ones that I have seen around here. Another factor is your location. If you are in ND, time to interview is higher from what I have noticed.

In regards to the 90 day rule. Yes, it applies, but you need to count it by the day, not by the month.

I hope that helps!
