I filed mid-September last year and have my interview scheduled for next week.

My estimated completion date was always listed as September 2020, until COVID then it bumped to October 2020.

Congratulations on your interview! Any news you would like to share with us? How did it go? What did they ask you if you could remember? Thanks

It looks like that the processing time has changed as of last night at our local office.  They now finish 50% of the cases in 10 months (a couple months faster than the two months prior to that), and they finish 93% of the cases in 21 months (2 months and a half faster).  That tells me that they are up and moving, but not as fast as they used to do back in January and certainly not as good as the wishful thinking of many of the applicants!

Hello everyone

stopping by here to let you guys know how my husband‘s interview went. After a awesome 6 Hour Drive from Bismarck (Uffdah),

We parked in the marquette plaza parking Which is the underground parking underneath the actual building. For $18 well worth it especially on a snowy day like today.  They let me go through security. When my hubs was called she had me wait in the main room which reminds me of an airport gate mixed with a dmv lobby.
“We don’t need you” so I waited for about a half hour in the main area.

husband said that she was a very nice lady. Went through the six questions very easily which were (in no particular order)

“Who is the speaker of the house”

”what is the law of the land”

“What happened at the constitutional convention”

“longest river”

”states that border Mexico”

”who is speaker of the house”

sentence he read was something about voting as well as the sentence he had to write.

she didn’t look at any extra documents that we brought including the giant 4inch pile of every single banking statement and other assortment of statements that I have collected ever since we got married in 2016. The only thing she looked at was a photo album with family pictures just to look because she likes looking at those kind of pics.

The Majority of time he spent talking to her was going over the yes and no questions. She commented on how organized we were; that even though she didn’t look through any of the things I brought (all of which was also uploaded when we applied) She looked at his case and file before actually sitting with him and said it made her job much easier.

in the end he was approved. She wrote the next oath ceremony which will be in Fargo next Wednesday on 10/28 so I think he’ll be able to get into that one. Waiting for the oath ceremony doc to be uploaded.

the drive back was harrowing. Can’t believe how many people forgot to drive on the first snow. Total count of people who went in the ditch was 21! Needless to say hubs had me drive cuz if he would have driven like a grandpa; not a bad thing but he’s not as confident as I am with

The end is in sight!!

able to view oath ceremony letter. The "yay" is that is next Weds in fargo; so it's ONLY  a 3.5 hour drive this time. The "nay" is that they aren't allowing ANY guests. That stinks that the oath takers won't get to share their special day with anyone. They better have someone take pictures AT LEAST

Silver lining is that we are at the last step. Finally.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience, including where you parked and all of that!  I think you have mistakenly repeated one of the questions twice in your list of six questions.  I am happy for you that this journey is almost over for your husband.  Congratulations!

More waiting on our end here!

I was lucky to have my oath in June and the ceremony was outside so my husband could take a photo of me from the distance. But winter is here and covid ruined everything. I think my husband will be in the same situation as you are:-(

Anyway, my congratulations to you!  It is the final step after all! 😊

I got my interview scheduled. OMG finally! I don’t know the date and location yet but I’m very excited. I filed my N400 in April 2019 from ND. Any idea where the interview will be for ND filers?

Congratulations! Possibly Minneapolis. We had to go there last week for a Tuesday interview. I had to wait in the waiting room so I didn’t get to go to the actual interview with my husband. We are from Bismarck.

Yep. That’s my whole take on this. Can’t be with him in interview or the oath ceremony (darn that ‘rona virus) but at least we will be done with this whole process.

That sucks. My husband and his family wanted to come to my oath ceremony but I guess if they’re not letting guests in then there’s no point.

My documents tab isn’t showing the letter yet. How long after the interview notice showed up in the account was the actual interview date? Will they give 2-3 weeks notice for the interview?
