I had my medical exam in London in November last year when they still did the genital check. That's the worst that it gets. For the chest x ray I was given a hospital gown and a room to change in. No one saw me naked. The person performing the x ray was female. She was more concerned that my waist-length hair would cause a problem with the machinery and made me tie it up in a knot on my head. I had a male doctor for everything else but all he did was check my ears, my eyesight, my blood pressure, my pulse, my temperature, listened to my heart and lungs and checked my reflexes. Nothing strange. I'm sure you've been more "exposed" for a pap smear. And I've shown more flesh to tattoo artists and beauticians.

They were right to remove the VWP privilege from you. But that's water under the bridge now. By your own admission you were using it to live illegally in the USA. This may be mentioned in the interview but don't rely on it as evidence of a bona fide relationship.

People meet through all sorts of unusual circumstances. Don't be scared of being honest. We are pagans and we sealed our relationship with a blood oath. I wasn't asked anything about that at the interview but if he had asked about our wedding then I would have to be truthful. He didn't even ask why we were wearing black on our wedding day when he saw the wedding photos. Nor did he mention anything about my husbands hair being longer than mine (and mine is very long), didn't ask about my many tattoos.... he was very professional and focused on documents and forms.

@Meanis - the flags on their own don't make or break a case, unless fraud (or an illegal activity) is involved. The VO will be making their decisions on the totality of a case, meaning as a whole -- so each piece contributes to the decision. Face time spent, communication details are important and everything else gets to add to the legitimacy of a case.

Age gap issue, my hubby and I are 20+ years apart (I'm the older one) which is totally and utterly unacceptable in his society, yet we were not even questioned about it. Not one single question about it or kids in our future etc.!

To be honest, our case was one big red flag, yet the face time we spent, how we communicated when we were apart and everything in between, clearly showed our intentions, thus all the red flags became obsolete!

How we met was a huge part of our story, which I made sure was highlighted in our initial CR-1 packet when I front loaded it.  So I suggest to all folks still looming at the start line to not hide it. Hiding can also be interpreted as not mentioning it, but deliberately twisting it (lying), would be a very very bad idea in my opinion! I mean, how can a story begin without a beginning? Or worse yet, how will changing the beginning of your story affect your trustworthiness? 😶

Be truthful -- this is something you see it being echoed all throughout VJ. So going forward, tell your story and stick to the actual story.

Wishing you both the best!

I met my husband online in a chatroom.  During my AOS interview, we were asked how we met and we just both said "online" at the same time because neither one of us were going to say what the chat room actually *was* (we hadn't discussed the possibility of being asked about it, because we figured it would be irrelevant anyhow since they care more about the bonafide relationship after meeting, not how you actually met.)  No further questions were asked.  Don't stress out too much about whether you will have to reveal the actual website or not.

If you are pressed for what *type* of website, like I suggested before a generic "it's an adult dating website for people who share a similar lifestyle" is a sufficient explanation I would think.

And you don't have to reveal the website to anyone here either in this thread or personal message if you don't wish to, either.
