EAD card renewal?

I am currently in OPT status until May 2018, when my EAD card expires. My question is can I extend the EAD card expiration date or renew it? I looked it up and looks like you have to file form I-765 again just like you did the first time to get the card and get it approved by USCIS obviously. My concern is that they won't accept it and let me renew it since my OPT period is only a year. Or is it possible by "reapplying"?

Can someone shed some light?

Thanks in advance

This post should be in student visa because you have OPT for F1, right?

For F-1 your OPT will be one year. You can only do OPT extension if you are in a STEM career.

You cannot do more than that.

If you do not accumulate more than 90 days without working, you have 60 day grace period after OPT expires. Otherwise, you don't have that and you must leave the country on the expiration date or before.
