From what I've read, you might want to seek the help of an attorney.

"The US immigration process requires a great deal of knowledge, planning, time, patience, and a significant amount of money.  It is quite a journey!"

- Some old child of the 50's & 60's on his laptop

Senior Master Sergeant, US Air Force- Retired (after 20+ years)- Missile Systems Maintenance & Titan 2 ICBM Launch Crew Duty (200+ Alert tours)

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Hello. Where do you think you messed up on the first interview? You shouldn't be taking this lightly because this interview is for denial purposes. Give us some details about you and your spouse as to how you two met? Is he or you a USC? What cultural background? Ect Ect.

I don't think this is a "do it yourself" case.  I would suggest they (and your friend) get attorneys.

You submitted your AOS waiting 1 and a half year after getting married? Why that delay? Are you the sponsor or the beneficiary in this case? USCIS sent you the letter not Stokes interview. You will be going for the Stokes interview. The questions can be up to a 100 and it can take hours, depending on the officer. They can be from the very basic to very personal questions.

That is not the reason why you have to have a 2nd interview.  The reason is that they don't believe that your relationship is real.  But they will never tell you that.  If forced, they will say something petty like this thing with the debit card.

Did you naturalize to gain citizenship?

Does your lawyer specialize in immigration?  If not I would highly consider getting one who does to guide you through this.

A stokes interview is no joke and can easily result in denial if it goes wrong.

They ask you about everyday life together. Meals, what side of bed you sleep on, what time you leave for work, etc.   You are separated from your spouse and they see if your answers match.

You can contact @ebunoluwa.  She has experience with this and is very helpful.
