Can my wife come to the U.S. with her tourist visa until we get the interview back on Caracas, Venezuela?

Based on what I've read on these forums, in immigration the officer might deny her entry due to "intent of stay," or whatever the technical term is.

Not to bring you down or anything, but even though the I-130 was approved, this does not assure her visa will be granted at the U.S. consulate/embassy in Venezuela.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, as I am very new to this.

PS: Congratulations on the approval!

rosalesmontero,

She can visit, if CBP will admit her. She cannot reside.

Yeah. We are reading, Yodrak. He got approved for an I-130, but he also wanted to see if his wife can visit him. Although, I don't quite understand why he wanted to use a tourist visa when he's going to get a CR-1.

consolemaster,

Are you sure that you're reading?

He did not write anything about wanting to get a tourist visa, nor is he going to get a CR-1 visa - it's his wife who is going to get an IR-1 visa (if not a K3 visa).

I think people don't realize the difference between the Reply button and the Fast Reply/Add Reply buttons.

Yes I read it. He wants to know if his wife can travel on her tourist visa although the I-130 was approved. I replied it depends on the CO (meaning the person at the POE gate). If they feel he is going to stay then no but if not then yes.
