Hello everyone,

 

I received a green card after marrying a US Citizen. We exchanged last-names during a same-sex marriage. I applied 2 years for the green card with 3 last names. The first one mine and 2 last names from my husband. 2 months ago I dropped with a court order one of the two last names that came from my husband. 

 

My question is: I already have my social security card and all other documents changed. How should I proceed with the I-751 should I just include the court order or do I need to fill out a separate form for that?

No, I did not change my passport. Actually, I can't because the county I'm from does not recognize gay marriage. I'm not even considered married...

I bet you could change the name on your passport now that you've done the legal name change. (Since technically that is different from a married name change) And it would make things easier if your name on your green card matched the one in your passport.

As for your ROC, yes, just put in your court order and list all your previous names where it says to on the form.

I have traveled twice.  I had one trip to Turkey and one trip to the Dominican Republic. Yes, I had some challenges at the Airport but it was not of a big issue.
