Oh wow. BTW did she keep any of your documents? do I need to have copies of my documents or the original is enough? I mean documents like mortgage statement or utility bills?  also, did they ask for the affidavit from family? did they keep it? I have 4 weeks to my interview but I'm trying to gather all the documents now.

Also, the only documents she asked for specifically were tax documents, marriage certificate, and passports and green card. She took everything we had anyway, and we had everything mentioned on the interview notice papers

They even kept your pictures?? I have about 50 photos is that enough? I mean I can take 500 photos from the last 6 years with me, but does it really matter?? did she even pay attention to those?

Yes, they took the pictures too. We had like 60 photos I think. We printed 6-7 per page more or less. We tried to have a few per year to show we were together, one or two of every trip we did, some of the wedding and that was pretty much it. I don't think they will need more than that.

Wow, I actually printed my photos at the nearby pharmacy so they're actual printed photos. I'm ok if they take it but it's just very surprising to me. Maybe I should do what you did and print them on a paper?  Thanks for all the info, they are very valuable for me. I'm sure other people will benefit from it as well! :)

FYI- I filed 11/17/2017 and my case status shows 12 days (Estimated Wait Time) and December 2018 (Case Completion Time)

Just got an email saying that they have scheduled my interview and sent out the notice by snail mail. Logged in to USCIS account and don't see the interview letter yet.

Looks like it takes almost one year to schedule an interview by USCIS filed office.

For the N-400 portion of the interview, did the agent ask if you had any changes to make at the start or end of the interview? Also, I'm not sure but did you end up adding some documents on the USCIS portal page (additional info), to make any amends to the N-400?

She asked if I did any trips in 2018, if the address is the same one as before, and then she asked every field I filled one by one checking if my answer was the same as it was on the form. Then she handed me the form to make sure everything was correct.

I didn't add any new documents on the USCIS portal page.

Ahh okay. In the past 5 years I've made one two week long trip, but I had a layover in between my final destination and ended up visiting this country (Singapore) while waiting for my flight. I did not include it in the countries I traveled to because I spent at most 2-3 hours while waiting for my next flight, but I did receive a stamp on my passport which I'm now worried might be an issue. I submitted the additional document on the portal but I'm curious what they'll think of it.

Only trips of 24 hours or more need to be listed.

That's what I originally thought when filling my travel information out, but isn't that a trip within a trip? Like, let's say I leave the U.S. on 10/10/2018 and return on 10/30/2018. During this time, I visit France, Singapore, and South Africa. Regardless of whether I spend 24 hours or more in each of these countries, don't I need to mention that these are all countries I've visited since depending on how you look at it, I basically took one trip that was 20 days long? I'm honestly confused by what constitutes a trip.

Don't worry, just tell that to the agent during your interview. It won't be a problem 🙂

I hope that's the case. Should I try and let the agent know right away after I give the oath to say the truth? I wouldn't want to be questioned about it and then try to explain in response, but rather let them know before hand.

Honestly it didn't even cross my mind. I had a 2 hours layover in Shanghai and I indeed have a stamp in my passport, I don't think it's considered as visiting a country transiting... But if the level of pickiness is so high then we can start worrying about many other things...

Congrats! I'm a November filer too but still waiting for mine. Maybe it takes longer for combo interviews to be scheduled.

Did your countdown come down all the way to 0 days before you got scheduled for the interview?
