That would be great.  Are you taking public transport or driving?

I’m doing a combination BART from the East Bay and Lyft once I get to the city. I don’t want to be stressed out driving into the city and worrying about the interview lol

I read the interview notice carefully multiple times and in the back page of the checklist it reads that they recommend you bring them. It’s usually not needed but if you have the documents it won’t hurt to bring them along.  I’m taking mine just in case. I had them handy so I rather be overly prepared than lacking the info.

On the back of the I-797C notice of action , it only has Notice for Customers with Disabilities.

I received a 2nd page titled document checklist.  Form N-659. I tried to attach a picture but it says the file is too large

Thank you for posting the pics

My pleasure! It does not state anything about bringing passport photos  anywhere. I think the photo they will use is the one they took at our biometrics appointment. I’ll post details of my experience tomorrow afternoon. 🙂

Good Afternoon Everyone.

I am happy to report that my interview went smoothly and I received an approval. 😀

My interview was set for 10:40am given how crazy and unpredictable our commutes are, I left the East Bay at 7:30am.  My chosen method of transportation were BART and LYFT.  I arrived at the USCIS building by 9:00am and I was happy to hang out at a nearby coffee shop (Peet's), and go through the civics questions until it was closer to 10:00am.  At 10:00am I took the short one block walk back to the USCIS  building.  The line to get inside was short and it went by quickly.  You do have to go through security and take off boots with heels (for us ladies).  After security you take the elevator to the 2nd floor where you officially check in for your appointment.  I was seated and waiting by 10:15am.  A little short wait later the USCIS officer came to get me.  She introduced herself, made small talk and we took the walk to her office.  Once we arrived at her office she had me sit my stuff down but remain standing to be sworn in.  We began with the reading/writing portion of the interview.  The sentence for both was "Washington was the First President", then we proceeded to the civics questions.  The 6 questions I was asked were the following:

1. How Many Amendments does the constitution have?

2. The house of representatives has how many voting members?

3. Who is the Chief Justice of the United States now?

4. Name one war fought by the U.S. in the 1900s?

5. Who is the "Father of Our Country?

6. We elect a U.S. Representative for how many years?

After the test was finalized she congratulated me on passing the written/reading and Civics portions.  Then we went through the N-400 form line by line.  She asked additional questions and wrote them down.  After that part was finalized she asked me to review the additional comments added to the form and to sign.  She congratulated me and handed me a interview results form where it states that I have passed, she also mentioned that she thought that there might be space available for the 8-9-18 ceremony and that she was going to try to see if I could attend that one, If not then September it will be.

By 10:55am it was all set and done.  I celebrated by having a nice brunch.

P.S. although I did take my tax documents they were not requested.

I wish everyone all the best of luck.  And to those still waiting, I hope your paperwork comes through soon.

😊

😊

Congratulations and thank you for sharing your experience.  Hopefully you can get in on the 9th.

Guys, I didn't apply for a passport at the ceremony because I didn't have time to take a picture before hand - I also didn't have the time to wait in line there as the line was huge. Either way - just wanted to share that my regular (non rushed) application at the post office that I did July 21st, shipped out today August 3rd. Regular processing took 13 days. I didn't have to spend the time in line, I didn't have to pay the $60 for expedited service and I took my picture with my iphone at home - then used https://www.idphoto4you.com/ to create the passport photo file. Cost like $1 at walgreens instead of $15 if you go and take a passport photo there.

Anywho, just my 5 cents worth..
