I received text message and email last week that my interview has been scheduled. Yesterday I received a letter that my interview has been canceled..
Have no idea why...
Speechless...

Congrats to those who got their interviews scheduled. If you have I751 pending, don't be surprise if your interview gets cancelled.

I was hoping you were part of this months interview recipients as our timeline are so close. 

 

Hopefully, they can give you an explanation of the cancellation soon.

I'm so sorry to read this... I may be affected by that soon too. I have been waiting two years for my I751 process to be done... :-S

Same here. I applied in early June 2016. Recently, on May 8th of 2018, I received a notice saying that application was transferred to National Benefits Center at Lee's Summit (MO) to speed up processing. Unfortunately, no news after that... It is unbelievable how all of this is handled and how slow everything goes.

Hello friends,

 

I have been following this forum for a while now and I think I'll contribute my journey. Me and my wife filed together and dates are same for both of us. Although interview was done by two separate officers individually. Here are my time lines:

 

Timeline:

 

Receipt: NBC

Filed: 08/15/2017

In-line for Interview: 09/11/2017

Interview Letter: 05/21/2018

Interview: 06/25/2018

Oath online update: 07/05/2018

 

Now awaiting for actual oath letter and oath ceremony.

 

Interview experience at San Francisco Field Office:

 

Interview experience was very pleasant at San Francisco office. Me and my wife, both had same interview time. We reached about 45 mins early. Checked-in at reception and she asked me to go to Waiting Area A and my wife to Waiting Area D. 

 

Soon after, immigration officer walked out and pleasantly greeting me and escorted me to his office inside. They apparently have pictures so they know who I am. He made me take the oath before I sit down that I will tell the truth. Then he took my finger prints and picture. He started with English reading test first. Made me read and write a simple sentence. Then he started civic test. I got first 6 questions correct so he stoped there. Here are the questions he asked me:

 

1) Who is commander in chief?

2) What are two major political parties in US?

3) What is the current president's political party?

4) What is the name of current president?

5) Name 3 states from original 13 colonies.

6) Who wrote Declaration of Independence?

 

Then he went through my entire application line by line and made any corrections needed on the form. Finally made me sign the application form and said, congratulations, I am recommending you for approval.

 

Entire interview lasted about 15 minutes. The officers are very friendly and comforting. Overall very pleasant experience.

 

This forum has been super helpful and I hope my journey will help someone.
