I brought mine in case the officer accepts it. She was willing to change the picture and scanned and replaced it immediately on her computer. When she came out with the result letter, she said the scanned photo was a little blurry and may not be accepted by her supervisor. She kept the picture to retry if it's rejected and also offered to adjust the brightness of the photo taken at biometric.

Today at the oath ceremony, I received the certificate with the original photo taken at the application center. It turns out that this photo is better than the one I was trying to use so I am happy after all.

I don't think so, you pledge allegiance at the Oath Ceremony.

Thank you! It was an very well organized event! There were ~980 folks from 86 countries at the event. We were given a section to be seated in and our certificates were brought to us at the end. 

There was a long line for passport but we just went to get some coffee and the line was almost gone. We then dropped our passport application.

One thing I would like to mention is that you can either use the passport application given at the Interview or download the form from the internet. If you do the later you have to get the form stamped "oath administered". There is a separate oath for passport applicants administered right after the main oath so that you can just submit the form with your Naturalization certificate and one passport photograph. No other IDs/photocopies needed. 

Thanks for every one who contributed to this forum. It was very information. Good luck to those in the waiting line!

I am so happy I received my Naturalization Certificate today. Funny and made me wonder is the National Passport agency said they sent it March 22 via first class mail and I looked at the envelope it said priority mail dated May 01,2018

I30 Petition for my Mother Timeline

03/01/2018- Sent Petition to USCIS via USPS

03/05/2018- USCIS received petition PRIORITY DATE

03/08/2018- NOA1

08/31/2018- USCIS Approved Petition

09/03/2018- NOA2

09/10/2018- Case sent to NVC

09/18/2018- NVC received case

10/12/2018- received email from NVC with the case # ( CEAC processing )

10/16/2018- Paid Fees AOS and Visa Fee

10/19/2018- Submitted Documents. Civil Documents/AOS and completed DS260

10/30/2018- received email from NVC. checked my CEAC acct rejected AOS, Police Clearance and Birth Certificate

Reason: some part is cut off and not clear. Resubmitted the same day.

11/08/2018- Received an email from NVC that all the required documents are approved. Its documentarily qualified and they will schedule the interview.

11/19/2018- Received an email that interview is scheduled for December 17

11/22/2018- First day medical

11/23/2018- Second day medical saw abnormality on the xray need to go back for sputum culture.

1/31/2019-Back to St.Lukes. Medical approved. Scheduled Interview 

2/08/2019-INTERVIEW PASSED

2/13/2019-Visa Issued Status

Congrats! May I ask which website did you check your status? I ask because I read on here that they dont  do the in line for interview anymore. Congrats again! Exciting!!!

Its the uscis.gov ..website..but i have an account with the old version ....

Oh okay. I’ll just bring mine just in case. I remember when they took my picture during the fingerprinting, I was wearing earrings. Maybe they don’t want pictures like that.
