Hi All,

I had my Biometrics done on 2nd June 2017 in San Fransisco. On the USCIS case status page, I see that "Case is in Line for Interview. On June 6, 2017, we started the interview scheduling process for your Form N-400". Its almost 8 months now and I haven't received any interview call letter.

Any suggestion as to how long it is going to take for the interview to be scheduled?  Also how long would it take for the Oath ceremony to be conducted in the San Fransisco?

I am curious to know as we have plans to travel to India soon.

Thanks for your help!

@n1804 take a look at the time lines posted in this thread.  It took me 254 days from filing to Oath.  My guess is you get an interview letter in the next month or 2.

I am studying for my interview and wondering if I should memorize all the answers. Will the interview officer ask the exact same questions as the ones on the study guide (got from biometrics)? For example, if the question on the study guide is "What are two Cabinet-level positions?", will the interview officer ask three or four?

No you dont have to memorize all of if. Just choose what to remember.  If the question asking for one or two answers, memorize only one or two.

Anny SF filer get this conflicting message depending on where you check your case?

When i log in to myaccount. uscis.dh.gov and see the status there is no change from Dec 7th, 2017 which is basically "We are working on your case and nothing to be done"

When i go to Elis : https://public-prod-elis2.uscis.dhs.gov/efile/app/app/#!/dyn/case/submitted/, the message i see is below. Is this an error?

Status Message:USCIS has scheduled your interview appointment and will mail you the appointment notice.

Yes, it is an error. The link you provided is for old version ELIS, you have to go the new version to check the correct status.

@Mimi1030  Do you mine if I know what your NOA is? Thanks.

I think SF office is scheduling interviews for cases filed in April 2017 right now, so you probably have to wait for another 2 months or so.

My NOA was filed April 7, 2017. Fingerprints May 5, 2017 and I heard nothing until last week. They said I was in line for interview on 1/25/18 and then i got message on 1/26/18 that my interview was scheduled and I would receive a letter with the date of that interview. I am waiting for the letter. I will post the date I get as soon as it arrives. I have been a resident of the US for almost 25 years.
