2017 San Francisco filers

Hi all,

 

I applied in June 2017 with June 15th as priority date. Looking at cases here I am hoping my interview could be in March 2018. Does any one have link for oath schedules for next year?

My expired passport (covers last 4 of the 5 years) accidentally got wet and some dates/stamps became smudged and not clearly visible. 

 

I will take my passport with me and explain but are old passports asked to be produced frequently during the interview at the SF office?

Not yet, I don’t expect the notice until the beginning of January and the appointment to be early to mid February now.

just received email&text notification says interview was scheduled. Not sure when yet, waiting for the notice to be posted on ELIS.

Nope, it was approved before I filed N400, although it took about 13 months.

I passed my interview today!

 

 

We left the house around 7:15am. Arrived at the SF office around 7:50am. There’s a line outside. But it went pretty quick. I got to the 2nd floor and check in around 8:21am. My appoinmet was at 8:55am. I waited for 30mins til they called my name. 

 

The IO was really nice and calm. He went through my application. He asked how I met my husband. Etc. then he asked me to read “ When is President’s day? “ then he asked me to write on a paper “ President’s day is on February. “

 

Then he started the civic test. I got all 6 correct but the first question I froze and I blacke out. So he kept repeating the question til I got it. Here are the questions: 

 

What one promise you make when you become a US citizen

 

Who is the Governor of your state now

 

What movement tried to end racial discrimination

 

Where is statue of liberty

 

Who was the first president

 

What ocean is in the west coast of United States

 

 

everything was easy. I was nervous at first but it’s all worth it. He said to expect oath letter in a few weeks.

Congrats! I have to start studying for my interview on 2/6 . Any suggestions?
