HI .I am citizen of bosnia and herzegovina, and my husband to be is US citizen.

we decided to get married during his visit to my country,

and i would highly apreciate any info about waiting times .

i have read all the procedures and visited many web sites.and i have pretty clear picture of the things we have to do,but i couldnt find answer to few of my questions.please help:

first

:from the moment he send out all the nesseccary papers, petitions ect.when he come back to usa,HOW MUCH TIME WILL IT TAKE UNTILL WE CAN OBTAIN K3VISA TO BE TOGETHER ASAP.seems to me it is all too long and he cant have too much time off to fly all the way to europe all the time .not to mention how expensive this can be all the time.

we are trying to find the best solution, the fastest solution.but I CANT FIND THE PRECISE WAITING TIMES FOR THIS anywhere on the net and embassy in my country is hard to reach,

second qn:

is k3 faster than k1?what should we do?am i right when i think k3will be faster way for us to be together?

please help us with any useful infos/

god bless you all

i swear to the days still left..we`ll walk in fields of gold...i love u angelus

IRENAANDMADISON,

You can't find precise waiting times because there is no precise waiting time. There is a broad range of waiting times and you will know your waiting time only when the waiting is over.

A K1 visa will always be faster than a K3 visa unless you are getting married tomorrow. Otherwise, the K3 visa always has the disadvantage that you can't begin the process until whenever it is that you are getting married.

Have you married already or are you planning on marrying? If you haven't already married, I would wait with the marriage so that you can pursue a K1 visa, which is a Fiancee visa....basiacally a single entry visa which allows you to come here to marry your US Citizen. This visa seems to be the quickest for you to be together ASAP. If you've already married, then your options are the K3, or the IR/CR-1....and I'm not sure the wait times for these.

Please read the Guides (tab at the top of the page) for those sections that apply to you....to get more information to see what is your best route, be it K3 or IR/CR-1. Also, you can check out the Embassy Info (at the top of the VJ page) to see if your embassy is listed. This site has a lot of useful information....but nobody can tell you the answer to the "how long will it take?" question because each situation is individual....some may take less, others longer to process....and there is no blue-print to follow. Basically you do your best to make sure your application is complete, mail it off....and hope for the best. (Its like a roller-coaster ride. You get in the car, strap yourself in and hope you don't throw up all over yourself by the time the ride is over. ;)) Sorry its the best analogy I could come up with.

Good luck,

-P
